My weak points... Day112

14th May, Sunny

Today was Tuesday and had Japanese class after school as usual.
I embarked on some useful expressions including for beginner to advanced level students.
I wish that class would benefit them though, I found out that I was weak for answering unexpected questions. I mean I am inflexible.
I was suddenly asked the reason why "かわいい” changed into ”かわいくて” when comes to the jointing adjectives. It was easy to answer, however, one student was like "How about かっこいい?” I was like so confused because "かっこいい” would be changed to ”かっこよくて" in Japanese…
I have never bumped into the same questions, so I had no idea of impeccable reasons why it changes like that. There was no way to explain just exception.
But, literally, why???
Language is unlike different subjects, growing up and messing up while learning. I comprehend that can't be helped as well as we have to strive not to be late from the changing era every day.

Today was Tuesday, and as usual, I had Japanese class after school. I taught a range of useful expressions, catering to both beginner and advanced students. While I hope the class was beneficial for them, I realized that I struggle with answering unexpected questions, highlighting my inflexibility.
For instance, I was asked why "かわいい" changes to "かわいくて" when connecting adjectives. This was easy to explain, but then a student asked, "How about かっこいい?" I was confused because "かっこいい" changes to "かっこよくて" in Japanese. I had never encountered this issue before and had no clear explanation for why it changes that way, other than it being an exception.
Languages evolve and can be messy to learn. Unlike other subjects, they constantly change, and we must adapt to keep up. Despite these challenges, we must strive to stay current every day.
