Well-being SNS「Cocooru」by Japanese

Hello, I’m Cocooru CEO.
We have been developing and operate the well-being SNS Cocooru since 2014.Cocooru grew to 30,000 users.

Social media has lately been linked to mental health issues, with a recent study showing a causal relationship between the use of social media and depression and loneliness.

Communities on Cocooru focus on topics around physical health, mental health, self-growth, sexuality, identity and family. The app works by connecting people seeking help with those who can offer help — often those who have been through similar experiences.

Post your own concerns

It is divided into communities with a variety of topics, including physical concerns, mental concerns, self-growth, and family (it could be called a mental health version of Facebook).

Within each community, people with problems share their thoughts and ideas, and build a network of friends based on comments and feedback from people who have experienced the same situation.

Post your own concerns

This site is not only used by people who are suffering, but also by people around them, such as family and friends of those who are suffering, to understand the conflicts and psychology of those who are suffering. I would like people to know what kind of advice experts are giving based on the situation.

No matter how trivial your concerns may be, I would like people to use Cocooru as a place where they can feel free to consult from their smartphones and receive advice from experts. Among these, those who require hospital treatment or administrative support will be introduced to the consultation counter.

In the future

In the future, I would like to work together with hospitals, governments, and other organizations to comprehensively respond to social reintegration and independence support. We want Cocooru to be a casual place where even people who feel energetic once can come back whenever they feel tired.

realize a zero-suicide society

Through this project, we aim to "realize a zero-suicide society and eradicate suicide." I don't think there is any point in not just reducing the number of suicides, but unless we completely eliminate them.

In the future, people will be able to feel free to talk to people around them, such as family and friends, and there will be no stigma about going to the hospital or receiving counseling even when they cannot talk to anyone.
I hope that we can become a kind and considerate society. If such a society could be realized, there would be no need for the service Cocooru.

impact on the world

In my life, I hope to support many people through Cocooru. To that end, I still do not have enough ability or effort, so I will continue to work honestly and honestly to the extent that I can have an impact on the world.
