We are the blog team of the Kakitagawa Promotion Activity.

Thank you for visiting this page. To give a brief introduction, this blog page is managed by the "Kakitagawa Promotion Activity," a group formed by local high school students. The posts will be sharing information with Japanese people and foreigners from a student's perspective, aiming to spread the attractiveness of the Kakitagawa spring and Kakitagawa park.
What motivated us to start this activity was to provide easier access to those who are experiencing difficulty in going outside or sightseeing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We will be publishing blog posts once every 2 weeks. The English version of the Kakitagawa blog posts will be on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Stick around for new facts about Kakitagawa and Kakitagawa park in each post as well as short comics and original artworks by one of our members!

For now, we will introduce the Kakitagawa Art piece created by Marie, who is a member of the Kakitagawa Promotion Activity!

【This is the gate to the Kifune Shrine in the Kakitagawa park. I thought it was pretty scenery to draw because of how nature surrounds the entire place.】

Other than blogs and SNS, the English version of the Kakitagawa Park brochure and a video introducing Kakitagawa Park makes you feel like you're physically in the park! (Though, it's emporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 outbreak)

Basic information about Kakitagawa:
The Kakita River is the shortest first-class river in Japan that flows through Shimizu Town. Famous as the only river that uses only spring water as a water source, it is one of the three clear streams in Japan. It has been designated as a national natural monument and has been selected as one of the "100 Famous Waters" and "100 Unexplored Areas of Japan".
