Explanation of xx community

Hello, my name is Jiwo from ・ーーーPROJECT.

As this is my first post, I will explain the xx community, although it has already been introduced on other sites.

I felt that the current commentary and website inevitably highlighted areas that were unclear or misinterpreted, so I will try to fill in as much as possible.

・Origin

First of all, the history of the formation of this place. If you know this place, you know "The Bluefin Tuna Comes Flying", "A Sardine Grows From The Soil", "Lamprey Hole", ". (21783669) a.k.a. Jellyfish," you probably know at least one of these four songs. (August 2012 - September 2013)

The artist who composed these four songs is called "Koronba". The four songs are also known as the "Seafood Market Series" because they are all related to marine products.

He disappeared a short time after posting these songs, deleting his videos from YouTube at the end of August 2014. (Note: Some of the videos remained, but they are omitted here.)
However, in March 2016, after a temporary resurrection on Twitter under the name @abnorok, he complained about his current situation, including references to the four songs.
Finally, he retired, saying that he had become so exhausted that he was practicing suicide.

This is all before the formation of the current community.

・Cultures and Ethics

Just before he retired, he made a note when distributing the related data for his songs that the author's name should never be indicated, so the culture is to use the alternative name "xxxx" or "krnb" when referring to him by his name.

Also, within the community, when explaining why he retired, it is often explained that he did not want to be famous or pampered.

However, I believe that this culture and explanation was perfected by meager understanding and ethics.

In the first place, at the root of the reason why these cultures and rules were created, there exists a purpose: to respect his requests.
However, since his alternative name itself has become a proper noun, the culture has become almost meaningless.

The correct answer to preserve this culture is to listen to the song only and look no further.
Of course, I am aware that this is a first-time offense. But if we truly want to follow the rules, we must accomplish this.

Almost everyone breaks a rule here.
That is why I ask you to keep your promise that if someone says his name, you will not point it out.
Because as long as you are breaking the rules by entering here, you are not strong enough to point it out to anyone.
Don't.

Also, there is a UTAU sound source called "Koronba 4 gou" which he mainly used, but it is completely different from him.
Attention to the name of this sound source is very rude, so please don't do it either.

Next, regarding the explanation of why he retired, I think the aforementioned explanation is incorrect.

This is just my personal interpretation, but I think he retired because of "mental exhaustion due to online stalking damage, digging up past content, etc."

In fact, in a statement on Twitter he,
"People who post links to games published years ago are just as guilty.
I'm telling you to stop digging it up, you stalking creep."
He left the statement.
Yes, he also stated that he "doesn't like to be pampered," but it is more likely that this was not the case before, but rather due to the emotional pain he was going through at the time.

(*Opinions vary from person to person. Avoid imposing your own ideas on others.)

Development and derivation of community

Originally, many secondary works and songs were created using his soundtrack, "Koronba 4 gou," but since his retirement, various respect works have been created.

In 2018, "It's all your fault." account led to a surge of respect and copycat works, and the sban (=Subeana) community was created as a derivative of the xx community, where copycats are still active today.

The quality of the respect work is very high and deserves to be on the same level as his work.

These initiated the project, which did not receive much attention until 2017, but has spread rapidly since 2018.

・Summary

How was it?

There may be some parts that are difficult to understand or not fully explained, but I have tried to explain the xx community in my own way.

If there are any flaws, opinions, questions, etc., please do not hesitate to contact me.

See you next time.
