George Floydさんの事件を受けて
今回の事件（*1）を受けてキング牧師のお嬢さんバーニス・キング氏のコメントがどうしようもなく胸に刺さりました。

”But the only path way I know to do this is do non-violent means, it is proven method. It did not fail in Father’s name. As many people who thinking if failed it did not fail them because one thing about it is when you really understand and really practice it, it brings about results, so right now it’s about “What is the in goal?”. In Goal is “We want to change” and “We want it now”. But Change does not come through violence, it's not solution. Violence creates more problems. It is NOT a solution. Non-Violent way is the way because means and ins have to be consistent. We’ll never get to the in the justice and equity and true peace which is not milid the absence of tension but presence of justice, unless we do non-violent means.”

"Let's do this in peaceful and non-violent way to deal with the evils and conditions of our time. But I will say as he says in "I have a dream speech" we go back to business as usual. 「私たちの時代の“悪”と“状況”に対処するために、平和で非暴力的な手段をとっていこうではありませんか。父は“I have a dream speech（「私には夢がある」から始まるキング牧師の有名な演説）の中で、「私たちが普段の生活に戻る」話をしましたが、私たちはこのまま日常に戻ってはいけません。また問題が起きるでしょう。今人々が魂の底から泣き叫ぶ状況を作りだしている、この状況を非暴力によって解決しましょう。」

人種問題を語ると、「黒人-白人」の問題と捉えていましたが、僕ら日本人は黄色人種で、この問題の根底にある白人至上主義では差別される側に置かれます。
だからと言って白人をどうこうとは決して思いません。
一部の白人がこういう事件を起こしていることは、理解しています。
ただ、人が人としてお互いを尊重し、愛し合えない状況には甚だ疑問と怒りを感じています。
こんなことが二度と起きない世界が叶う様に、先ずは祈ります。
何が自分にできるかを、祈りの中で神様に求めます。
