#91 転職するのって普通ではない？(Do Japanese want to stay in current company for good?)

海外生活あるあるらしいのですが、長く同じ国にいると外国人の友人は数年で出入りするので、見送ることが多くなります。シンガポール10年目ですが、感覚的には2周したという感じがします。最初に来たときの友達が一旦ほぼいなくなり、２周めがほぼいなくなり、３周目にいる感じ。。。さみしい。特にこのコロナ禍では、シンガポールの強めの規制を嫌がったり、諸々も事情で母国に帰った方も多い印象です。シンガポールの外国人どれくらい減ったんだろう？

任期が切れて本社に帰る方もいれば、転職される方、ビジネスを始める方いろいろ。日本の場合新年度がその時期に当たることが多く、自分のことを考える時期ではあります。そしてコロナ。何をして生きていくかを再考するには十分なインパクトありましたよね？。。。ね？そうでもないのかな。

しまった、左のグラフなんか明るい色のパレットを見つけて、テンション上がって使ってしまいましたが、意味が分からない（笑）。株式会社やまごころキャリア（2022）によると、52%の人は現在転職活動をしているそうです。調査対象者が求人サイト登録者なので、まあ高いですよね。今の日本本社の半分の人が転職活動しているってもし聞いたら結構びっくりしちゃうけど、さすがにそれはないか。。。しかもインバウンド専門の求人サイトということで、ひょっとしたらそろそろ日本の国境も開いて、インバウンドが再開されてくるという期待が増えているのかも。それは、いい話ですね。

調査によると、転職をすぐにでも希望する人と現在転職を考えていない人の両方が増えていて、二極化している傾向があるとのこと。そこはなんかわかる気もする。コロナが落ち着くまで待ちたい気もするし、この2年考えすぎて今すぐにも動き出したい気持ちも分からなくはない気がする。さて、おいていかれないように僕も頑張っていかないと。

If you live overseas out from your home country, you tend to have many foreign friends. Also if you live there for a long time, you will see many people off since most of foreigners do not live there as long as you do. I have been in Singapore for almost 10 years and I feel that I'm at the 3rd round. It means that People who I met when I came to Singapore mostly have gone, then the 2nd round has also gone. Sad… Especially in this COVID regulation in Singapore, many foreigners left Singapore for many reasons. I'm just wondering how much foreign population in Singapore decreased? 

Some left since they completed their term, some changed their job, some started their own business… Reasons are diverse. Also in Japan April is considered to be a good timing to start something new. So it is now. Finally Covid. Of course, it had huge impact on our thoughts and career planning I think… No? Hope it is not only me…

Ops, I just found a nice excel color pallet and used it for the left chart but colors don't mean anything… Sorry. Yamatogokoro career (2022) shows that 52% of their service subscribers are under Job hunting. Well their service is online recruitment. So it is not surprising to see the rate is high even in Japan. Well I would be really surprised if half of people are actually looking for new job in Japan (Of course, not). Also the service specializes in in-bound travel industry. So maybe the market has expectation that overseas travel would increase soon. I really hope so…

According to the report, people on 2 edge side, "I want a new job as soon as possible" and "I'm not looking for a job now" increased. That is also something understandable,,, personally. I have 2 different feeling that "I want to wait a little while till everything settles down" and "I considered about it too much in 2 years and I want to take actions soon". Ummm. I think I also have to work hard not to be left from this moving market.
