#193 ワールドカップと会社いきたくない （FIFA world cup and work motivation）

こんにちは。あと2日で新年ですね。シンガポールは正月といえばどちらかと言えば旧正月のことを指し、毎年年末は通常運転というイメージだったのですが、最近はオフィス近くのホーカーとかのランチ時間はすごく空いていて、コロナを越えて若干「まあ、年末オフィスに行かなくてもいいか」感が出ているのかなと想像してます（笑）

今回は最近触れていなかった、Twitterの定点観測データをワールドカップとともに（謎）振り返ってみようと思います。いや、いろいろと噂の多いツイッターですが、日本の「会社行きたくないIndex」（こちら）的には皆さん安定して思いの丈をぶつけていらっしゃるようです。今のところデータ収集も問題なくできています。でも今後Twitterがどうなっていくのか、興味はつきません。なんか、もしおかしくなってきたらみんなどこに移るんだろう。。。

上のグラフは毎度おなじみ（？）自作の会社行きたくないIndexです。シンプルに「会社行きたくない」で検索したツイートの数です。棒グラフが実績と予測の差で「何かあったのではないか」と思われなくもない場所です。実績が予測を上回った中で1番大きかったのは12月23日（青）で大雪の日ですね。実は大きな差はだいたい天気です。ただし今回はちょっと大きめの黄色がありました。そうワールドカップです。

大きかったのはスペイン戦の後の12月2日、放送時間朝4時。いやいや。勝っていても負けていても次の日会社行きたくなくなる気持ちがわかりすぎる。ツイートを見てみると、「祝日」っていう単語がランクインしてて、サウジアラビアに倣って祝日になって欲しいという、叶わぬ思いが吐露されていました（笑）ちなみに「にわか」の僕は日本敗退後は、急に熱が冷めてしまって次に結果を見たのが決勝ということになってしまいました。。。すみません。

Hi all. There is only 2 days left to the new year. I don't have strong impression in Singapore 1st Jan since Singapore celebrate Luna new year as "New year" day more. But recently I feel that lunch place around my office is empty and thought that people now think that "OK. Maybe I don't go to the office after Christmas"? Lol

Today I want to touch to my regular twitter analysis with FIFA world cup for Japanese. As you may know there are many rumors about Twitter recently but in Japan it seems people still stably write there emotion about motivation to work on twitter. It is good for my "Don't want to work index (Here)" Lol. So far twitter data collection works ok but not sure how they are changing it… Also if the platform shrinks where do people go? Not sure…

The chart above refer to well know(?) Don't want to work index made by me… Simply I collect tweets "Don't want to work" in Japanese and count them everyday. The bar is the gap of Actual and Forecasting which is considered to be something happens if it is positively large (MAYBE). The largest positive gap in few month was 23 Dec (Blue) which had snow blizzard across Japan. Actually when there is a gap it is mostly from bad weather in this index. But there are 2 bars (Yellow) which are not. Yes FIFA world cup.

The bigger one was 2nd Dec after the game against Spain which shows the Japan's surprising win. It was actually at 4AM Japan time and it is understandable that people are too sleepy and didn't want to work after that regardless of the result. Having a look at word ranking of the day "Public holiday" is shown which reflects Japanese's hope that the day to be a public holiday following the decision in Saudi Arabia… Unfortunately It didn't happen in Japan. Sorry for foot ball geeks in Japan Lol.
