#168 AI怖い (Is AI scary?)

幕張メッセに行ってきました。「幕張メッセ」響きがそもそも賢そう。いや、英語のMessに近いかいし賢くない？でもビジネスマンにとっては何かを発表する場所、展示会といえば幕張メッセ、みたいなところ無いだろうか。もれなくその響きにつられAI エクスポというものに出てきました。AI＋幕張メッセでカッチョ良さ２倍。海浜幕張駅から結構あるいたのですが、心なしか向かう人もみんな賢そう（たぶん賢い）。

スーツの冬着の方が多い中、カジュアルなセータでやや薄着の場違い感は押し隠しなんとVIPチケットというのを見せて入ることになりました。VIPだと何かが違うのかはあまり分からなかった（入り口は違った）。あ、あとよく見るとチケットにもVIPと書いてありました。。。？なんか、AIに興味があったので、ここに行けば何か新しいものに出会うんじゃないかというミーハー心です。すみません。

いや、そもそもねAI (人工知能）って何なのよ。って思っている人は僕だけでしょうか（違うよね）？株式会社ディップが2020年の調査でそこを社会人2000人（！）に聞いて明らかにしてくれています。それによると社会人の63%がAIが何かを説明できるとのこと。。。えっ？高っ？目を疑い、ちょっと対象社会人がシステム系とかになってないかとかを無駄に疑い、でもどうも普通の20-60歳男女社会人とのこと（衝撃）。そうなんだ、みんな説明できるんだ、ショック。もう少し頑張ります。。。

なんかその調査にはAIのイメージみたいな質問もあって興味深い。トップは58%で「かしこい」。ですよね。なんかよくわからないけど賢いらしい。怖い（25%）とかも分かる気がする。なんかわかっている人ほどこう答えそう（思い込み）。というか、なんかこの調査どんな選択肢があったのかがちょっと興味ある。「強そう」とかなかったのかしら。ターミネーターに引っ張られすぎ？でも全体的に回答が人工知能の現場よりは映画とかに引っ張られている気はする。みんなAIって何って聞かれたらなんて答えるんだろう？

I went to "Makuhari messe" in Tokyo. Is it in Tokyo? Maybe not. But I like the feeling of "Messe" which I actually don't know what does it mean, close to "Mess" in English Lol. Well that is the well known place for business exhibition. I think it would be a top of mind exhibition venue for Japanese (No?). I was attracted by the feeling and went there for AI expo. AI + Messe sounds just cool… It was a bit of walk from the closest station. Then I found that people heading there look very cool and smart too…

While most of people are in suits look and in winter cloth, I was there with casual shirts with Singapore warm look. I felt a bit not suitable to the place… But surprisingly I had VIP ticket to go in. Well I don't know what's special for it. The reception was different and … Oh the word VIP was printed on my ticket. That's it. OK I have to admit that I was there for just a casual reason that I might be able to find something new there. Sorry.

At first, What is AI?? Hope everybody has the same feeling. No?? Let me check. dip corporation (2020) shows that 63% of working people can explain what is AI… !!! What? 63%? Is it that high?? I was wondering if there is any particular screening like "Software engineer". But it is actually just 20-60 y.o. working person. I was honestly so surprised and upset that I'm the side of 37%… Oh I see. Most people can explain. OK I'll study harder…

Interestingly the survey listed popular image words associated with AI. Top is "smart (58%)" which is so understandable. I don't know the detail but it should be smart for sure (?). It is followed by "scary(25%)". This is also understandable and I personally feel that those who know very well about AI would pick up this word. By the way, I'm interested in what were the word choice for this question. No word like "Strong"? Maybe I'm to impressed by terminator? Honestly I feel that those listed image words are created by movies that the actual AI operation (Maybe not). I'm also simply interested in how people explain about AI…
