#189 大掃除してますか？ (Year end house cleaning is coming)

昨日４回目のワクチンを打ちました。腕が痛い。いや、腕が痛いだけと言ってもいい（笑）ここからきついのは２週間運動禁止と言われることくらいかな。２週間運動禁止は、、、我慢出来ないかも。２週間も運動しなかったら、ずっと運動しなくなっちゃう。いやー、困った（たぶん困ってない）。

会社のクリスマスパーティーが終わって、まだクリスマスが来てもいないのに気分は一気に年末ムードになってきました。年末といっても休みはあってもやることが特別にあるわけでもない。去年は何してたっけな。大掃除？いや、言っても大した掃除もしてない。なんか日本といえば大掃除は大イベントだし、みんな何かしらやっている感じですよね。いや、今はそうでも無いのかしら。

生活総研（2022）の定点調査の数字（左のグラフ）を見てみると、長期的には大掃除をしている人の人数減ってますね。だいぶ。年末というと掃除用具メーカーのかきいれ時というイメージだったけど、だんだん落ちているのだろうか。個人的には大掃除から中掃除くらいになった説を推す（？）そしてなぜかコロナで激落ちしてる。なんでだろ。毎日家にいて、普段からきれいにしているか、、、汚いことが気にならなくなったか（真剣）同じく個人的には年末よりも試験前とかの方が掃除は捗った記憶がある。。。

ちなみにグーグルトレンド（2022）をみてみると、大掃除という検索ワードが増えてくるのは毎年47週目（大体11月中盤）くらいのようです。結構早くないですか。11月中旬から大掃除のことを考え始める人がいるんだ。。。なんか、年末ギリギリになってから慌てて考え出すもんだと思ってました。まあ、1番のピークは52週目なので、僕と同じスケジュール感の人は多そう（笑）うーん、今年に大掃除をするかはわからないけど、なんとなく古くなった掃除用具を一新してもいいかなとは思い始めました。そう、格好から入るタイプです。

I took the second booster shot finally. I have sore arm. Well I would say I only have sore arm Lol. Tough thing to me is that I have to wait for 2 weeks till I can exercise. 2 weeks are too long, long enough to let me give up my exercise habit!!? Umm how should I do? 

Even though Christmas has not yet finished, I feel like our year end is almost there after finishing company Christmas party. I don't have any particular plan for year end. What did I do last year? Maybe house cleaning? Japanese has a habit to have big house cleaning at year end to welcome new year with fresh mind. If I'm not wrong, Japanese people still do, don't they??

According to Seikatsu-soken (2022, the left chart), Oh % of people who do "Year end house cleaning" has decreased in a long run and now its under 50%! As far as I remember, year end used be a huge sales season for cleaning gear brands but how does it go now? Maybe it shrinks from "Big" cleaning to "Intermediate" cleaning?? Also there is the huge drop during pandemic! Why? Maybe they stay at home everyday and clean their house regularly? Or people just got used to the mess and don't do it any more Lol.

By the way, searching the word "Year end house cleaning" in Japanese, which is "Osoji", by google trend, it shows the annual spike around week of 47 (Mid Nov) which is … super early from my personal view. I thought it is something people normally think about at the very last minutes. Well still the highest is on the week of 52. So I'm not the only one who rush to it at the very year end Lol. So far I don't have any cleaning plan but maybe it is the good timing to renewal my old cleaning gears. Yes I'm the one who start from preparing gears but not necessarily take actions after that… Sorry.
