#16 空っぽのオフィス (Empty office)

オフィスに行かなくなって久しい。この１年半のあいだは、シンガポール政府の「お許しがでている間」はオフィスに行けるという状況で、気分的には行けたらラッキーくらいな気分でした。毎日来いと言われると特に行きたくもなかった会社も、ラッキーとなると、行けるときにはオフィスに行こうという気にもなり、むしろ会社への思いが募る。

毎日、行けるか行けないかくじ引きのような状況が続けば、ひょっとしたら会社に行きたいと思う人が増えるかもしれない。当たった人だけ会社に行ってよし。。。いや、ちょっとパンチが弱い気がする。行けた人はオフィスでおやつ食べ放題＋働き放題！いや、「放題」とつければよいというものでもないし、ブラック感がでちゃう。

上のグラフはWeworkが2021年９月に発表した働き方に関する意識調査のなかで「週に何日程度オフィスで働きたいと思っているか」をオフィス勤務の会社員に聞いた質問の答えだそうです。ざっくり年代が上がると毎日行きたいと思っている人の数（青い部分）は増えていく。ほほう。年代が上がると寂しがり屋が増える。。。というわけではないですよね。上司が寂しそうにしている姿を想像してちょっとほっこりしましたが、そんなことはないか。。。

20代は特に毎日行きたいと答えた人が少ないが、一方「まったく行きたくない」と答えた人が多いわけではない。ここにも複雑すぎる若手の思いが現れている気もする。毎日上司に会いたいわけではないんだけど、全く行かないとなると不便だしどうしよう。まあ数日くらいならいってやるかな。。。20代の皆様勝手な想像です、すみません。個人的には全く同僚に会えないのは寂しいし、たまには会社で会えると嬉しいかな、毎日じゃなくてもいいけど。

Office is not the place we go everyday anymore. For this half an year, we go to the office when government allow us to go. You are lucky if you can. Well, we didn't prefer to go to the office when we had to go, but it is described as "lucky", it motivate you to go (Maybe). Now office turned to the place you "want" to go...

Oh, maybe the best way to motivate people would be the lottery!!? You can come to the office only when you got hit. Then people would find them so motivated to come to the office?? Or maybe it has to come with free flow snacks and drinks. Ops, why do I have to motivate people to come to the office...

The chart above is from Wework Japan research in 2021 "How many days of a week you want to come to the office ideally". Roughly People who want to go to the office increases as you get old. Do elder people get lonely easily than younger age group? Well imagining that our bosses get lonely is heart warming but that is not maybe the case. 

Also feeling of 20s people is a bit complicated. Very less people answered that they want to go to the office everyday but less people said that they don't want to go to the office at all. "I don't want to see my boss everyday but it is a bit inconvenient if I totally can not. Ok, I can go sometimes if you like" kind of feeling? Sorry, of course people are not that arrogant. 

Personally I feel lonely if I can not see colleagues at all, so I would be very happy if I can meet them regularly even if it is not everyday. Oh yes, I'm the lonely boss...
