#50 みんな年末年始は何するんだろう（How do you spend your year end holiday）

シリーズを書き始めて第50番目の記事になりました。習慣化してダラダラ続けるのは比較的得意ではあるので、続くだろうなとは思っていましたが、前日アップロードを忘れていたことに朝気がついて、遅刻したことはあります。。。まずは体調も崩さず一安心。

そして信じられないことですが、年末が到達してきています（早い）。去年の年末というと、、、シンガポールでは5人までしか集まってはいけないとなっていた規制がド年末に８人になりそこから5月に5人に戻るまでは、規制の中で一番緩かった時期でした。日本はというと、Go to travelが一旦停止されたのが去年の年末だったようす（伝聞）。今年の年末は海外の友達がシンガポールに遊びにくるという奇跡が起こりそうな予定はしていますが、新種の登場でどうなるかヒヤヒヤしているところでございます。

そんななか(どんな？)株式会社attaは2021年に年末年始に関する意識調査の結果を発表しています。2020年に何をしたかと、2021年（今年）の予定を確認したようです。ざっくりいうと「自宅で過ごす」下がってその分「自宅以外でなにかする」が全体的に増えているという、コロナ規制が緩和された、もしくは慣れてきた様子が伺えます。（赤い数字は2021年が上がったもの）

個別に見ると、実家への帰省が大きく上がっていて、買い物、旅行、仕事と続きます。まだまだ自宅で過ごす予定の人が多いとはいえ、規制緩和に合わせて少しずつ活動を増やしていこうという感じがみえます。うん？規制緩和で、、、なんで仕事が増えるんだろう？？よっしゃ、コロナ落ち着いてきたし、年末年始はガッツリ仕事するわ！みたいなことでしょうか。

あ、いやひょっとしたら去年本当はしなければいけなかったところができなくて、今年は普段どおりに戻ってきたから年末も仕事です。みたいな話なのだろうか。いやいや、規制緩和も良し悪しですね。

This article marks #50 in this “data joke“ series. Thank you very much for your attention to this. I’m kind of good at keep doing things, I thought it was not surprising for me to reach to #50. Well I did forget to upload in time and published late for few times though… I’m happy that I was health enough to keep uploading these. 

Its been 4 months since I started this blog and surprisingly year end is coming soon (So fast). Year end last year in Singapore was … COVID regulation was relaxed a bit and we could make a group of 8 people to meet up (it was 5 before that). In Japan, support to travel industry was suspended because of 3rd wave of COVID. It was call “Go to campaign” and people got government support for domestic travel. This year, I’m expecting a miracle that somebody is visiting me to Singapore from overseas. I hope the new variant will not cause additional regulation for visitors…

I’m wondering how people are spending their year end holidays compared with the holiday in 2020. atta(2021) shows the result of Year end holiday behavior survey compared with 2020 and 2021. Basically it shows that % of spending at home declined a lot and all others increased vs 2020 (Hilighted in red) caused by relaxation of COVID regulation (Maybe).

Going to parents’ house increased a lot followed by shopping, travel and work. While spending at home still is the biggest, it seems people are trying to be slightly more active than the last year… Ummm. Why do people work more in this year end?? Why can relaxation of COVID regulation cause increase in work?? Is that "Yes, COVID has gone. I can work as much as I want!!“??

No, maybe the last year was the exception that there was no way people can work but now company force you to work on year end??? If that is the case, there is pros and cons for relaxation of COVID regulation, Maybe.
