#72 楽器をひくとモテるのか? (You can be hot if you play instruments)

シンガポールと比べて、日本を歩いていて目につくものの一つに楽器屋が挙げられる（視点が特殊過ぎる）。この間数箇所の町をブラブラしましたが、池袋、オフィスのある秋葉原、新宿とどこにでもある。それを目的に向かうと御茶ノ水のように楽器屋さんだらけの街もあったりする。シンガポールだと頑張って探しに行かないと、歩いていてひょっこりぶつかることはない（ような気がする）。まあ、僕自身が楽器をひくので目につくだけで、それ以外の方には全く関係のない情報ですよね。

日本にいる間は会社の方と定期的に演奏をさせていただいたりして叩いていた楽器も、今となってはたまに家の電子楽器でひとりで練習するだけになってしまいちょっとさみしい。コロナが明けて、日本に定期的にいられるようになったら、また組んでバンドとかをしたいと思っています。実は「楽器の演奏をするとモテる」という調査結果を読んで急にこんなことを考え始めたわけです（ひどい）。。。

上記のグラフは島村楽器さんが2022年に発表した調査結果ですが、調査の表現的にちょっとおもしろかったのでトピックにしてみようかと。上のグラフは記事にあった表現を少しだけ正確にしたものになります。一番下の"参考"に元記事へのリンクを張ってありますので比べてみても面白いかも。いや、小さな違いすぎて分からないかもですが。

あれ、っと思ったきっかけはモテる楽器No4にドラムが入っていたことです。個人的にドラムをやっていてモテたということは一度も経験していないひがみで、ちょっと玄人好みすぎるなと思ったりしたのです。いや、ほんとうにただのひがみで恥ずかしいです。

なので少し細かく読んでみると、まず調査対象者が島村楽器の従業員さんの回答248サンプルということだったのです。なるほど、なるほど。楽器を自分で引く人も多いでしょうし、やったらモテたという人が結構自分の実感としているのでしょうか。約55%もモテると感じている。。。すごい。

そしてモテる楽器というのも、数字をつけてグラフを見てみると、ほとんどがギターとピアノ。。。このあたりでちょっと僕の実感と合ってきます。うむうむ。ギターの人はモテていた気もする（遠い目）

When I walk around cities in Japan, I often come across to musical instruments store which we seldom experience in Singapore. Since I came to Japan I visited Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, Akihabara where my office is located and all have stores. If you go to for example Ochanomizu, there are so many of them while I found only few in entire Singapore (I assume). Well, I find them since I play instruments but most of you might not be really interested in… (Sad). 

The reason why I chose this as a topic is that I read one research which conclude that "You would be popular among girls if you play instruments"(Stupid)… I used to play in a band when I was in Japan but I only play alone sometimes at my house after moving to Singapore (Sad x 2). Once I can regularly stay in Japan after COVID, hope I can join a band again. For now, let me introduce the research.

The chart above is the one I wanted to mention a bit which is done by Shimamura-gakki (2022). Shimamura gakki is the instruments seller company in Japan. I rewrote the chart to show the result a bit accurately. So please refer to the original article if you are interested in. Well the gap would be too minor to be recognized…

The reason why I was attracted to the result was that The drums is ranked No.4 for which I used to play. I perception is the it is higher than what I experienced (Sad x 3). I have never been seen that I was hot! (Well, I shouldn't complain about my instruments…). Thought the drums are not as known as other instruments. 

So I check the detail of the survey and found that respondents are a248 samples of Shimamura-gakki employees. Who are surely much more familiar to music and instruments than normal people. I see, I see. Maybe they have experienced that they were seen popular (Jealous). Around 55% thought so…

Also if you see the actual figures it is dominated by Guitar & Piano, and others are minor… Now it comes closet to my guts feeling. Yes, I remember that guitarists are popular (Sad x 4).
