#23 100年間の東京の気温(average temperature for 100 years)

吾輩は汗っかきである。こんな書き出しの小説を誰かに作ってもらって汗っかきの人間に許しを与えてくれるかたはいないだろうか。世の中が温暖化と言われる前から、ずっと地球は暑かったと思っている。

なんの因果かシンガポールに住んでいるため、辛い食べ物の多いお土地柄でもある。こちらで人気の辛い料理を食べると、最初のひとくちでまさに毛穴が開く感じして、次のひとくちで身体中に汗をかく。ちなみに気温は意外と東京の夏ほどは暑くないという印象。というわけで、暑くなってきているのかを肌では感じ取れない状況となっている。

そんななか、上記のグラフは気象庁がホームページに記載している東京の年間の平均気温の1900年から2014年の推移である。こう見ると東京の年間兵員気温って意外と低いような気もする。朝夜や冬も全部押しなべるとこんな感じなんですね。そして100年間をかけてじんわりと上がっているようにも見える、3から4度くらい。

4度というと、、2021年の2月と3月の平均気温（8.5 vs 12.8）くらい。日本にいないので凄さがピンとこない。お風呂の温度で言うと、42度が46度くらいこれは結構違う。46度になると熱くて、待たないと入れないくらいにはなる。

あと100年経ったらまた3-4度上がるのかどうか。エアコンを発明してくれた方に感謝。

"I AM A CAT. As yet I have no name." is the very start of the famous Japanese novel "I Am a Cat". I want anybody to write a novel title "I sweat a lot" and protect me from people who don't like sweaty people... For me the earth had been the hot place before people started to talk about global warming.

For some reason I live in Singapore where I can find many good "Hot (spicy)" food. I like spicy food but once I eat it I feel like all of pores open and sweat from my head to body. Surprisingly(Maybe) for Japanese people, Singapore is not as hot as summer in Tokyo. Well, the point (?) is that it is a bit difficult for me to recognize if the weather gets hotter or not for those complicated reason.

So I found data from Japanese Meteorological Agency which observe temperature  in tokyo since 1875(!). My first impression is that "Ummm, average annual temperature is lower than I thought", well Japan has winter and the data includes day and night. It looks increasing gradually (a little) to me maybe roughly 3-4 degree in around 100 years.

4 degree... From the detail of the data, it is close to the gap between Feb and Mar in 2021 (8.5 vs 12.8). It must be the change from winter to spring. But since I wasn't there I'm can not fully imagine if the gap is big or small. If you take it into the water temperature of a bath (Japanese take a bath quite often), normal 42 degree turns to 46. Oh, It is HOT. You have to wait a while till you get into it.

OK. I'm wondering if it keeps increasing in 100 years. Big thanks to the person who invented aircon for me.
