#5 饅頭こわい？ (Manjyu is scary)

　饅頭こわいという話を聞いて以来いつか「餃子が怖い」「今はビールが怖い」と言おうと準備をしてきたが、「怖いものが何か」を聞かれたことは一度もない。言いたい。いつ使うんだ？これは僕の周りに怖いものがあまりないスーパーマンみたいな人が多いだけで、実はちまたではよく「最近怖いものある？」「えー、最近怖いものだと１番は台風かな、２番めは最近ゴキブリかも」みたいな会話を良くするのだろうか（謎）。もしくは世間では怪談話的なことを僕が思うより頻繁にあつまってやっているのか。

DIMSDRIVEが2005年（古い）に調べたところによると、男性でも女性でも一番怖いのは地震と人間、あと死とおばけ（意訳）。霊はどの世代でも性別でもランクインしていたので、やはり「見たこと無いけど怖いの」とか「見かけるけどやっぱり怖い」みたいなことかもしれない。
一方男女の差は興味深い、深すぎてうつむき加減になっちゃう。男性のランキングで妻は５位にランクインしている、、、別に女性のランキングに夫はランクインしていない。結婚していない僕には想像の及ばない世界がそこにはあるのかもしれない。一方女性のランキングには男性にはないゴキブリと戦争が。日常的なものとスケールの大きいものが並んで遠近感がおかしくなりそう。なんにしろ男性は少なくとも自然災害よりも妻のほうが怖い。ほう、ほう、そうなのか、ふーん。

I found the person very smart and if I have a chance to talk what scares me, I'm prepared to say "I hate dumplings" then "I'm scared of beer". Since then I have never been asked the question for a long time... I really want to talk about it. Is that because everybody around me is like superman who doesn't have things to scare them? Actually normal people talk like "Um what are you scared of recently?", "Well, the worst one is Typhoon, no, no Cockroaches!!"(Mystery) Or maybe people talk a lot about horror stories?

DIMSDRIVE study in 2005 mentions that top of things both male & female are scared of are earthquake, human, death and ghost/spirits. Ghosts are in the list of all gender/generation so "maybe" everybody feel that "Ummm, I don't care how you feel but yes I am scared of it!!" or "Well I see them often and they are very scary".
On the other hand, difference between men and women shows full of life insights. "Wife" is in the male list but "Husband" is not in the female list. I see, I see. There should be the world which I (single person) can not understand... Maybe. I found "Cockroach and wars" in the female list, I'm losing my sense of perspective by the gap between this daily thing and large scale thing. Well I see, males are scared of wives more than the natural disaster. Umm got it, got it.
