#181 世界で一番サッカー好きの割合が多いのはどこだろう（Which country has the biggest foot ball fun population?）

4年に1回自分が日本人だと強く認識するイベントFIFAワールドカップがやってきました。最初の日本戦で前半だけリアルタイムで見るという失態を犯しました。残念。仕事帰りに同僚と、放送をやっているバーに行き、次の日からタイに行くために準備をしないとという同僚に合わせて前半で帰り、流石に勝てないかと思っていたら夜に勝ったと連絡が届き一体後半何が起こったのかもんもんとしてました（笑）

ちなみにサウジアラビアが、アルゼンチンに勝利した日を祝日にしたのを受け、会社のチャットに日本・ドイツ戦翌日が休日にはならないのかの問い合わせが殺到しました。。。そしてそのせいかはわかりませんが翌日は、オフィス出社人口がやたら少なかったです（笑）

世界中で盛り上がっている印象があるサッカーですが、実際サッカーファンが多いのはどこなんだろうと思って調べるとIPSOSが直前の９月に世界中で取ったアンケートの結果がありました。地域別に色分けしてみたのですが、結構意外というか、日本は調べた国のうちでは最下位の14%。ほう。ちなみにrabamimi(2022)調べによると日本でドイツ戦を部分的にでもリアルタイムで見た人は54%ということなので、結構なにわか率（親近感）いや、僕も普段からサッカーを見るわけではないのですが、イベントごとは見ちゃう。

ちなみにサッカーファン率が一番高いのはインドネシア。ほう。知らなかった。現在はインドネシア代表はFIFAランキングではあまり振るわないようですが、巨大な成長人口を持っていて、これだけファンが多ければ将来強くなるんだろうなぁ。中東勢も多く、先のサウジアラビアは世界第２位。それは休日にでもしたくなりますね。ちなみに日本でのサッカーファンは14%とのことですが、一番多いスポーツはなんなんでしょう。やっぱり野球かな？

FIFA world cup is the once in 4 years event which enhance my nationality perception suddenly high. Well, Japan had a surprising win against Germany but I made such an awful mistake that I only watched the 1st half of the game. Japan got 2 points in the second half… Sad. I went to a sports bar with my colleagues after work and left there soon after the 1st half assuming that it was difficult for Japan national team to win against Germany. I'm wondering what happened in the 2nd half… Lol.

By the way, Saudi Arabia won against Argentina and the government announced to set the day as a public holiday. Thanks to that I have got many inquiries from my colleagues if the day which Japan won vs Germany will be a company holiday… Maybe not because of that but the office population of the next day was really few… Lol

I personally have an impression that foot ball is one of the most popular sports in the world. Then I wanted to check which country has be bigger portion of foot ball funs! The chart above is the refers to IPSOS (2022). Unexpectedly Japan has only 14% of foot ball funs and it was the lowest in the listed countries. I see, I see. By the way, according to robamimi (2022), % of those who watched the Japan game in Japan real time was around 54%. It means many people which don't follow foot ball regularly watch the world cup (like myself). Yes, I'm just a event follower…

Also the country which has a biggest % of foot ball funs is Indonesia. Oh, I didn't know that. As far as I know, FIFA ranking of Indonesia national team is not that high. But Indonesia has big, growing population and with this big % of foot ball funs, I assume the national team will get stronger in the future!. Middle east countries like Saudi Arabia also has quite a big % of soccer funs. No wonder they set the winning day as a public holiday… Considering of 14% soccer funs in Japan, what is the most popular sports in Japan? Is it still Baseball??
