#165 みんな意外と目が悪い（More people have bad eye site)

今朝ジョギングから帰ってきて、シャワー室に入りシャワーを下に向けてお湯を出したら、冷たい水が顔に向かって吹き出されたという奇跡に出会いました。。。目が悪すぎる。いや、違うんです（違わない）。シンガポールでありがちなおしゃれシャワーヘッドで持ちても平で、シャワーヘッドも平らな金属製でぱっと見裏と表が判別できないんです。目が悪い人あるあるだったりしないだろうか？

ホテルとかで、天井に固定されてるシャワーがあるタイプのところで、いきなり上から水をかぶったことのある人いませんか？（いてほしい）。よく見ると蛇口（？）のところにマークが書いてあるのですが、目が悪すぎて見えてない（ほんとか？）。細く見えないので掃除が雑とかもないかしら（僕だけ？）老眼も進みつつあり、ますます悪くなっている視力なんとなならないもんかしら、日常生活が不便過ぎる。。。

視力の悪い仲間を探そうとデータを見ていたのですが、やはり結構な人が視力悪いですね。上記は文部科学省が毎年収集している保険のデータの抜粋になります。視力が0.3以下に絞っても約3分の1の高校生が該当します。みんなお風呂場でどれがシャンプーでどれがリンスだかが分からなくて苦労しているに違いない。。。そしてなんか勝手な思い込みで視力の悪い人は年々増えているというイメージだったのですが、長期間でみると結構増えたり減ったりしているという発見がありました。

なんでだろう。なんか2011年位からの急増は勝手にスマホじゃないかと思っている（思い込み）。日本の携帯電話は高機能だからスマホは売れないとか言われていた時代が懐かしい（遠い目）。いや、違うかな。ひょっとしたら2011年くらいから急に高校生の勉強時間が増えたとかあるかしら（たぶんない）。2006年くらいの何故か目の悪い人がちょっと少ない時代も気になる。面白いゲームが発売されなかったみたいな理由だったら面白いのに。

Came back from jogging and went in to the shower room. I turned the shower head down and turned the tap to get hot water. But it flashed water to my face, I grabbed the shower head upside down... My eye site is too bad. No, actually it is not only that (excuse). Of course, I take shower without my glasses. My shower head is flat and difficult to tell which side is up by just gripping it. I guess it happens to most people with bad eye site... No?

Anybody who experienced that you grab the shower head & turn on and in the end get water from above your head in where there is the flat shower head fixed to the ceiling? (Hope its not only me). You can tell if you can see the sign on the tap but my eye site is too bad and I'm careless Lol. Also I think I'm not good at cleaning a room since I can not really see detail dust. Now I'm suffering from far site and its getting more and more inconvenient to have daily life... 

I tried to find how many people could potentially suffer from it and came across to the data from MEXT (2022). According to it, around 30% of high school students (Age 16-18) are below 6/18. I assume most of them struggle with seeing which bottle is shampoo and conditioner in the bath room... I actually thought that number of people who have bad eye site is consistently increasing, so I was a bit surprised by the chart. It shows that it had down trend and up trend in a long run.  

Why? I personally believe that the spike around 2011 is from smartphones (Maybe). I can recall that some media was doubtful about smartphone just because feature phone in Japan was high spec (funny story). Umm maybe high school students suddenly are required to study hard around there (Maybe not). I'm interested in the drop around 2006 as well. It would be really funny if the reason is because there was no good video games launched in Japan... Lol
