#56 ZOOM飲み会に飽きました？(Getting bored of catching up online?)

みなさま、テレビ会議には慣れましたでしょうか。。。？自宅からの参加でうっかり変なものを映してしまったみたいな体験も一周してきたような気がします。初期にはズボンを履いてないのがバレたり、ミュートし忘れで悪口が聞こえたりみたいな過激なものも結構頻繁にあった気がする。個人的にはなんとなく写りのいい角度（？）とかも見つかって、日本に出張したら実物とのギャップにガッカリされないかしらと心配していたりもします（誰も見てない）

海外在住の日本人として、このパンデミックでの変化を考えると、日本との距離は物理的な距離は遠ざかる一方精神的な距離は近づいたかもしれないと思ったりします。コロナ以前では日本にいる友人とテレビ会議経由で飲んだりするということは考えられず、たまに友達同士で飲んでいるなかに、LINEなどをつなげて僕がちょっとだけ挨拶をするというくらい。それでもLINEなどがあるだけありがたいと思ったりしてました。

そしていま、テレビ会議で忘年会しよう！って話をしても、「OK。久しぶりだから話しますか」と違和感なく集まってもらえる程度にはなっているので嬉しいです。

日本トレンドリサーチ（2021）によるとコロナ以降１ヶ月でオンライン飲み会を実施したことのある人の数は2021年になってもほとんど変わっておらず約15%のようです（ヨッシ）。なんか飽きているという話も周りでは聞かれていますが（怯え）、2021年も行われているといえば行われている様子です。別の調査によるとZOOM飲み会経験者は50%にも達するという噂がないこともないので、海外在住者としては心強い限り。

みなさん、、、どうですか？（恐る恐る）。実は同じ日本トレンドリサーチの調査の中では、コロナの影響がなくなった後もオンライン飲み会を開催したいですか？という質問も聞かれていて、2020年では約65%の票を持っていた賛成派がなんと2021年の調査では約35%まで後退しているのです（下のグラフ）。みんなやっぱり顔を合わせたほうがいい！ってなったのか、なにかオンライン飲み会でやな思い出ができてしまったのか。懲りずに相手をしてもらえるといいなぁと思っていたりはします。いや、本当に。

Have you gotten used to online meeting? At the beginning of the pandemic, we heard many funny failure about remote meeting. Somebody is shown in the meeting without wearing pants, somebody sent their complaint to public believing that their mics are muted… I guess you have experienced most of them. Personally I found the angle which shows me better than I actually am. I'm scared of showing my face physically to people. Well nobody is interested in it.

As a person who live far from the home country, this pandemic put us physically a bit far from Japan while it connect us and people in Japan mentally closer. I didn't even think about inviting my friends to online catchup. Only had a chance to Jump into their face to face meet up by showing myself in the small phone screen. I even appreciated for that few minutes though.

Now it is easy to ask my friends to have online year end catchup and it won't to be considered as weird as before. I'm so glad about the change.

According to Japan Trend research (2021). % of people who had a online gathering in a month has not been changed that much between 2020 and 2021 (Good!). While I also hear that people are getting bored of online gathering, people still seems to have it. Referring to another research, % of people who have experienced online gathering reaches to around 50% which sounds so good from my view who lives overseas.

How… do you think? Actually the same Japan Trend research report mentions if people are willing to conduct online gathering even after pandemic. Then then % of people who are happy to do it reduced a lot from 2020 to 2021 by 30% (the 2nd chart above).
Does people realized that they prefer to have face to face than having it online or people had bad experience in online gathering?? That is a bit unfortunate to me but hope my friends still accept having it with me, Hahaha.
