Japan has four seasons, and various flowers come in each season.
Autumn leaves are representative of Japan in autumn, however, cosmos is seen around in October,
Today I'm going to get along with Cosmos.

日本には四季があり、季節ごとにいろんな草花が盛りを迎えます。
日本の秋の代表と言えば紅葉ですが、紅葉より一足早く10月はコスモスが見頃を迎えます。
今日はコスモスについてお話ししたいと思います。

Cosmos is a delicate and pretty flower that is in full bloom in October.

コスモスは10月に見頃を迎える、繊細で可憐な草花です。

There are many colors such as white, red, pink, yellow and brown.
The flower language of cosmos is "harmony" and "maiden innocence"
The flower language by color is
White: grace and beautiful.
Red: maiden's affection.
Pink: maiden chastity.
Yellow: wild beauty.
Brown: end of love.

花の色は、白、赤、ピンク、黄色、茶色など数多くあります。
コスモスの花言葉は「調和」「乙女の純真」
色別の花言葉は、
白のコスモスの花言葉は「優美」「美麗」。
赤のコスモスの花言葉は「乙女の愛情」。
ピンクのコスモスの花言葉は「乙女の純潔」。
黄のコスモスの花言葉は「野生の美しさ 」。
茶のコスモスの花言葉は「恋の終わり」。です。

In Japan, when you write cosmos in kanji (Chinese character), it is written as "autumn cherry blossoms".
It is said to have been named after the pink flowers that have petals similar to cherry blossoms.
In Japan, it was called "Akizakura" until around 1975, but in 1977, singer Momoe Yamaguchi sang a song called "Cosmos" and became a big hit.
From there, the name "cosmos" has taken root.
By the way, this song is a sad ballad that sings about the feelings and circumstances of the married woman and her feelings for her mother.

日本ではコスモスを漢字で書くと「秋の桜」と書きます。
これは、桜に似た花弁を持つピンクの花を咲かせることから名づけられたといわれています。
日本では昭和50年頃までは「あきざくら」と呼んでいましたが、昭和52年、歌手の山口百恵が「秋桜（コスモス）」という曲を歌い大ヒット。
そこから「コスモス」という呼び方が定着したそうです。
ちなみにこの「秋桜」という曲は、嫁ぐ女性の心境や状況、母への想いを歌った物悲しく切ないバラードです。
