冬におさまる「輝く花や木」 【袋中菴「幻の花」Ⅱ】　"Shining flowers and trees" that fit in winter [Taichu-an "phantom flowers" II]

袋中菴に伝わる「幻の花」の写真集から紐といていくなかで－。
前回の「秋に色づき実り」に続いて、今回は「冬におさまる」花々を紹介する。
冬におさまる花は、やはり「正月」。正月花として飾られるいくつかをピックアップしてみた。
メインは床の間で一年のはじまりを祝う「若松」。それぞれの寸筒に一本の若松を入れ末広の折形に紅白の水引で根締めして捧げる。一つに椿が、もう一つに千両が添えられる。これらの若松の飾りが天地人の世界を映しだしているかのよう。一年の幸せをこの一本で表している。

Following on from the previous "Autumn Coloring and Fruiting", this time l will introduce flowers that "settle in the winter". The flowers that settle in winter are still "New Year". I picked up some of them to be displayed as New Year's flowers.
The main is "Wakamatsu", which celebrates the beginning of the year at tokonoma. Put one Wakamatsu in each woodcylinder and tie it in the shape of suehiro’s paper with red and white Mizuhiki. One is a camellia and the other is a sarcandra glabra. It is as if these Wakamatsu decorations reflect the world of the heavenly, earthly and people. This one expresses the happiness of the year.

そして、袋中菴の正月床飾りでは床の間に軸が掛けられ、三具足として中央に香炉、右に燭台、そして左に寸筒の若松が揃う。この写真の軸は、原在中筆の双幅日月梅林図が掛けられてある。そして脇床には鏡餅、一方には邪気を祓う寿の卯杖(うずえ)が飾られてある。袋中菴の正月飾りの披露目である。

And in the New Year's floor decoration of Taichu-an, a shaft is hung between the tokonoma, and as a mitsugusoku(three decorations) , there is an incense burner in the center, a candlestick on the right, and a wakamatsu on the left. The axis of this photo is hung with the double-width Nigetsu Umebayashi map of Hara Zaichū. Kagami mochi is displayed on the side floor, and Uzue, a sword of life that exterminates evil, is displayed on one side. It is the announcement of the New Year's decoration of Taichu-an.

床の間ではないが、冬は花の数が少なく寂しい季節。その時節に節分まで花のない枝に華袋香をかけて楽しむという。床飾りにするのであれば、香炉ははずし飾る。

Although it is not tokonoma, winter is a lonely season with few flowers. At that time, it is said that you can enjoy the scented bag of flowers on the branches without flowers until Setsubun. If you want to decorate the tokonoma, remove the incense burner and decorate it.

これは、凍る花(残菊)と名がつけられている。真冬に凍った水たまりの中に陽がさすに伴い、氷の中から輝き生きている菊をイメージしたもの。

This is named Frozen Flower (Zangiku). The image of a chrysanthemum shining from the ice as the sun shines in a puddle frozen in the middle of winter.

最後に、とっても可愛らしい「雪兎」。庭に初雪が積もった朝に、ひとかたまりの雪で兎を作った。それに花飾りをつけてあげると、兎が喜んでいるように見えた。(山階御流家元・賀幡圓定師の言葉)

Finally, a very cute "Yukiusagi". On the morning of the first snow in the garden, I made a rabbit from a lump of snow. When I added a flower decoration to it, the rabbit seemed to be happy. (Words of Enjyo Kabata, the Iemoto of the Yamashina-goryu)

この季節、花は少ない。冬におさまる花や木は正月飾りに使われる。数少ない中で袋中菴の「幻の花」として表現された花々の美しさは輝きを放つ。花や木も命あるもの、いつでも、どんなときでも輝いているのを忘れてはならない。そんな花をこの一冊から・・・。
