安部文殊院の「文殊菩薩像」に向きあい、知恵を授かる? 　Face the "Monjyu Bosatsu Statue" of Abe Monjyu-in and receive wisdom?

生まれ年の干支によって守り本尊があるのをご存知だろうか。
調べてみると東西南北と北東、北西、南東、南西の八方角をからませて八体の守り本尊があるといわれている。

Did you know that there is a guardian deity depending on the zodiac of the year of birth?
It is said that there are eight guardian deities that are entwined in all directions of north, south, east, west, northeast, northwest, southeast, and southwest.

私は文殊菩薩。文殊菩薩は卯の年の人を守る本尊とされている。
江戸時代の文献に日本の三大文殊の霊場の一つが奈良にあると聞いていたので、数年前になるが、「安部文殊院」に出掛けた。
同院は奈良・桜井市で、大阪から近鉄電車で40分ほどのところ。
のんびり旅なので、桜井駅から20分ほど歩いた。
大和の山々を眺めながら、初春の古都の田園をゆるりと歩いたのを記憶している。

I am Manjushri. The Buddhist Bodhisattva is considered to be the principal image of protecting people of the age of the rabbit.
I heard from the literature of the Edo period that one of Japan's three major Buddhist temples is in Nara, so I went to "Abe Monjuin" a few years ago.
The temple is located in Sakurai City, Nara, about 40 minutes by Kintetsu train from Osaka. It is a leisurely trip, so I walked about 20 minutes from Sakurai station.
I remember walking slowly through the countryside of the ancient city of early spring while gazing at the mountains of Yamato.

安倍文殊院は、西暦645年大化改新のときに建立された寺院である。その時の左大臣だった安倍倉悌麻呂公が安倍一族のために建立したといわれている。
安倍文殊院といえば、あの有名な陰陽師、安倍清明公が出生したところでも有名である。

Abe Monjuin is a temple built during the Taika Reform in 645 AD. It is said that Teimaro Abekura, who was the Minister of the Left at that time, built it for the Abe clan.
Speaking of Abe Monjuin, it is also famous where the famous Onmyoji, Seimei Abe was born.

この時期はまだまだ人が少ないせいか、本堂には誰もいなく、有難いことに一人で菩薩像と向き合うことができた。高さ7メートルの文殊菩薩騎獅像は、右手に利剣をもち、左手に蓮華をもっている。
胎内にあった墨書銘から快慶が建仁3年(1203年)に造ったものと判明している。
「安倍文殊院の本尊は知恵文殊」として文殊信仰の霊域の道場になっている。
厄払いに訪ねた安倍文殊院の本尊から "知恵" を授けていただいたように思うが・・・
さてさて。

Perhaps because there were still few people at this time, there was no one in the main hall, and thankfully I was able to face the Bodhisattva statue alone. The 7-meter-high Manjushri Bodhisattva statue has a sword in his right hand and a lotus flower in his left hand.
It is known from the ink inscription in the womb that Kaikei made it in the 3rd year of Kennin (1203).
It has become a dojo for the spiritual realm of the Buddhist religion as "The principal image of Abe Monjyu-in is wisdom Monjyu."
I think he was given "wisdom" by the principal image of Abe Monjyu-in, who visited for apotropaic magic ... 

Anyway.
