インド・デリーの
インディラ・ガンディー（デリー）国際空港に降り立ち、
専属ドライバーさんに迎え入れられ、
Gurugram（グルグラム/グルガオン）のお家に向かいました。

空港からのほんの30～40分と
2～3日、近所のお出かけの車移動で
「インドってことですね」って思ったことを箇条書きで。
私はこの道路事情を見て、感じただけで発熱しました。
繊細で感受性が豊かな方は、心の準備のご参考にしてください。

インドの道路事情（まーちゃん所感）

• クラクションはコミュニケーションツールとして
  お構いなく鳴らします
  

• 「車線に沿って走る」とかはない

• 故に、車線変更でウィンカーだすとかない

• 結論、3車線の道路でも4台横並びで走ることもある
  

• 車間距離は０（ゼロ）

• 短いスパンでスピードバンプ現る
  

• 横断歩道はない

• 故に、歩行者は命がけの横断を実施

なので、2日に1回交通事故現場に出くわします。

After landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport (Delhi) in Delhi,
and being welcomed by our exclusive driver,
we headed to our home in Gurugram (Gurgaon).

Here are some points I noticed
during the 30-40 minute drive from the airport and
during the first 2-3 days of car travel around the neighborhood
that made me think, "This is India."
Just seeing and experiencing these road conditions made me feel feverish.
For those who are sensitive and have rich sensibilities,
please consider this as a reference to prepare yourself mentally.

Road Conditions in India (My Impressions)

• Horns are used freely as a communication tool.
  

• There is no concept of "driving within the lanes."

• Consequently, there is no use of indicators when changing lanes.

• As a result, even on a three-lane road,
  four vehicles can drive side by side.
  

• The following distance is zero.

• Speed bumps appear frequently over short distances.
  

• There are no pedestrian crossings.

• Therefore, pedestrians cross the road at their own risk.

In short, it's dangerous.
That's why I encounter a traffic accident scene every other day.
