本日はIELTSライティング①表グラフ問題について、IELTS講師にライティングを添削していただきました。

こちらは表グラフですが、解き方は、線グラフと大きく変わりません。

The tables bellow give information about sales of Fair-trade-labeled coffee and bananas in 1999 and 2004 in five European countries.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.


以下の表は、1999年と2004年の欧州5カ国におけるフェアトレード・ラベル付きコーヒーとバナナの売上高に関する情報である。
主な特徴を選択し報告することで、情報を要約し、関連する場合は比較を行う。

イントロダクション
The provided two tables illustrate the changes in sales of fair trade-labeled coffee and bananas in the years 1999 and 2004 in five different European nations, namely UK, Switzerland, Denmark, Belgium and Sweden.

以下の 2 つの表は、1999 年と 2004 年におけるフェアトレードラベル付きコーヒーとバナナの販売 量を、イギリス、スイス、デンマーク、ベルギー、スウェーデンの欧州 5 カ国で比較したものである。

概要
Looking at the overview, it is obvious that the sales of coffee which was traded fairly saw an increase in all  five European countries during the 5-year period.

概観すると、公正に取引されたコーヒーの売上が、この5年間にヨーロッパ5カ国で増加していることがわかる。

While, in the sales of bananas, Switzerland,UK and Belgium showed an upward trend and Sweden and Denmark were shown to have decreased over the period.

一方、バナナについては、スイス、イギリス、ベルギーが増加傾向を示し、スウェーデンとデンマークが減少している。

概要
To describe more specifically, in regard to data for coffee, UK made 1.5 million of euros in 1999 and significantly increased to 20 million of euros. Likewise, Switzerland earned 3 million in 1999 and doubled to 6 million.

より具体的に説明すると、コーヒーのデータでは、英国は1999年に150万ユーロを稼ぎ、2000万ユーロに大幅に増加した。同様に、スイスは1999年に300万ユーロを稼ぎ出し、倍の600万ユーロを稼いだ。

However, despite an increasing trend, the remaining countries, Denmark, Belgium and Sweden showed only slightly increase from 0.2 to 0.7 million of euros.

しかし、残りのデンマーク、ベルギー、スウェーデンは、増加傾向にあるにもかかわらず、0.2百万ユーロから0.7百万ユーロへの微増にとどまっている。

Looking at the figure of bananas, Switzerland experienced a dramatic increase from 15 million of euros to 47 million, while the sales of bananas in UK and Belgium saw a slight increase from 1 to 5.5 and 0.6 to 4 each.

バナナの数字を見ると、スイスは1500万ユーロから4700万ユーロへと劇的に増加し、イギリスとベルギーはそれぞれ1ユーロから5.5ユーロ、0.6ユーロから4ユーロへと微増した。

On the other hand, the remaining countries, Sweden and Denmark decreased their figures from 1.8 to 1 and 2 and 0.9 respectively.

一方、残りの国、スウェーデンとデンマークはそれぞれ1.8から1、2、0.9と数字を減らしている。
