本日はIELTSライティング①表グラフ問題について、IELTS講師にライティングを添削していただきました。

こちらは表グラフですが、解き方は、線グラフと大きく変わりません。

The table shows the workforce distribution in Australia.

イントロダクション
The provided table illustrates the changes in four different workforce distribution, namely agriculture ,industry, services and unemployed in the years 1930,1960 and 1990.

この表は、1930年、1960年、1990年における、農業、工業、サービス業、失業者という4つの異なる労働力分布の変化を示している。

概要
Overall, it can be clearly seen that the percentage of people working in the four industries varied considerably through the years.

Agriculture and unemployed show a decreasing trend, whereas industry and service were shown to have increased over the period.

全体として、4つの産業で働く人の割合は、年によってかなり異なることがよくわかる。

農業と失業者は減少傾向を示したが、工業とサービス業はこの期間に増加した。

Despite the two industries showing a decreasing trend, agriculture showed significant decline while the unemployed declined gradually.

2つの産業が減少傾向を示しているにもかかわらず、農業は大幅な減少を示し、失業者は徐々に減少した。

The same is true with industry and service.
Service has experienced a sudden increase while industry showed a gradual increase.

産業とサービスも同様だ。
サービス業は急激な上昇を見せたが、工業は緩やかな上昇を見せた。


詳細
More specifically, agriculture took the largest share at 46.5% in 1930 and significantly declined to 14% in 1960. It was then followed by a gradual decrease in 1990 when it hit the lowest figure at 8%.

具体的には、1930年には農業が46.5%と最大のシェアを占めていたが、1960年には14%にまで大幅に減少した。その後徐々に減少し、1990年には最低の8％になった。

Similarly, the proportion of unemployed made up 25% which was second largest among the four sectors in 1930. However,  it also saw a gradual decline to 16% in 1960 and constantly decrease ,hitting the lowest point at 10% in 1990.

同様に、失業者の割合は25％を占め、1930年には4部門の中で2番目に大きかった。しかし、1960年には16%まで漸減し、その後も減少を続け、1990年には最低の10%に達した。

In contrast, Industry and services started at 14.5% and 14% respectively in 1930, after which a sharp contrast could be seen between them.
Industry experienced a gradual increase to 24% while service made a considerable increase to 46% in 1960.

対照的に、工業とサービスは1930年にそれぞれ14.5%、14%でスタートし、その後、両者の間に激しいコントラストが見られるようになった。
1960年には、産業が24%まで徐々に上昇したのに対し、サービスは46%まで大幅に上昇した。

After that, both of workforce distribution continued to increase, industry at 31% and service at 51%, finally coming in the second and first place in 1990.

その後、労働力分布は工業31％、サービス業51％と増加の一途をたどり、1990年にはついに2位と1位になった。
