市役所に勤めるスミ子の彼氏のニックネームは
ピカ天だ。まだ、３０前というのに
頭に毛が無いからである。彼のお父さんも
３０前にピカ天になったらしく、本人も遺伝と
諦めている。スミ子とピカ天は、いわゆる職場恋愛だ。
スミ子は２歳の時、お父さんが交通事故でなくなってから
母に育てられた。だから、父の顔は分らない。
かなり奥手だが、ピカ天が初めて付き合った男である。
貧乏だったから、お小遣いをもらう余裕はなかったので
小学校２年生から、いろんなアルバイトをした。
貧乏も男のできなかった原因だが、最大の原因は
スミ子の牛乳ビンの底のようなメガネだ。
スミ子は、どんなにアルバイトに疲れても

銭湯の息子だ。チビでブ男でピカ天だが
不器用にスミ子を守ってくれる。
そんな不器用な優しさにスミ子はひかれた。
　
先日、スミ子の母は数少ない父の写真を
見せてくれた。カステラの箱に入っていた
古い写真だ。久しぶりに見る写真の父は
背もスラーっと高く、その上なかなかの
美男子だ。チビでブ男のピカ天とは
似ても似つかない。
ただ、スミ子がクスッと笑えてしまったのは
父の頭もピカ天だったことだ。

と選挙カーが大きな音で走り回る。

たくさん会えば食が進む。
ピンクのスーツを着た若い女の子までが
大きなおにぎりを３個パクパクと食べてしまう。

選挙は重労働だ。
そのピンクのスーツを着ていた女の子の
一人の美代子が候補者の息子サンと恋仲になり

新婚早々、夫の政夫は、なんと県会議員の選挙に立候補することになった。

政夫は議員をやっていた父が始めた酒屋を
