『歌撰恋之部 毎夜二逢恋』

『歌麿を描きます』シリーズ。今回は『歌撰恋之部』の中の『毎夜ニ逢恋』です。

歌麿を描けば描くほどすごいと思うのは、見る人をいかに魅了するか、浮世絵という制限のある表現の中で、工夫を凝らしているところです。

What I think is amazing as you draw Utamaro is how you are fascinated with how you fascinate the viewer, in a restricted expression of ukiyoe.

このシリーズでは、ドラマ性はもちろん、とにかく姿勢が真っ直ぐな人がいない。大首絵なので上半身だけなのに、構図がダイナミックなんです。

In this series, there is not a drama nature, of course anyone with straight posture. Because it is a big picture, the composition is dynamic, although it is only the upper body.

日本の書店の浮世絵コーナーに行けば、北斎と若冲の本で棚が占められています。唯一あるのは、『別冊太陽歌麿』くらいです。でも歌麿はすごいです。

If you go to the Ukiyo-e corner of a Japanese book store, shelves are occupied by Hokusai and Jakuchu's books. The only thing there is about "Taiyo Utamaro". But Utamaro is amazing.
