今回、元絵はありません。

このシリーズは、歌麿を現代の描き方で描けば面白いと思って始めました。ところが、何となく描いたスケッチを気に入ったので、それを先に描くことにしました。だから、今回は歌麿の元絵はありません。

I started thinking that this series is interesting if I draw Utamaro with modern drawing. However, I liked the sketch which I drew somehow, so I decided to draw it first. Therefore, there is no original picture of Utamaro this time.

アクリル絵具で人物を描くのが、予想以上に難しくて、手探りで描いた感じです。モノクロですが、これで完成です。なぜモノクロで描くかという理由は、長くなるので、また別の機会に書きます。

Drawing people with acrylic paint is harder than I expected, and I felt as if I had felt painted. It is monochrome, but it is complete with this. The reason why I draw in monochrome is long, so write another opportunity.

人物を仕上げた後に、背景はグレーズ技法で仕上げました。グレーズ技法はモノクロで描いた後に、薄く溶いた絵具を塗るものですが、何層にも重ねると深みが増します。今回は20回ほど塗り重ねました。アクリル絵具は乾燥が早いので助かります。

After finishing the person, the background was finished with glaze technique. The glaze technique paints thinly melted paint after painting in monochrome, but it will increase the depth when layered in many layers. This time I painted about 20 times. Acrylic paint is saved because drying is fast.

グレーズ技法で描いた深みのある色は写真には写らないのが残念です。

I am sorry that the color with depth written with glaze technique is not reflected in the photograph.

これで完成です。次回は歌麿の元絵を描く予定です。リアルなモデルを描きたいのですが、次回もとりあえず、あの女流棋士さんにします。

That's it. Next time will be drawing the original picture of Utamaro. I'd like to draw a realistic model, but for the time being, I will do that woman's shogi player next time.
