I came back to Japan in February 2022. At the time, I knew that Australia had opened its borders to foreigners, so I decided to visit Perth city. I have been to Perth more than 20 years ago. This is the one reason I decided to go to Perth. I remembered that nature was there and it was so beautiful. Though I am in my 50s, I tried to apply for a student visa. I did not get the visa immediately, however, I went to Australia without the student visa because I could enter there with a tourist visa. I thought I would get the student visa in two months, but I was not able to get the student visa three weeks before the expiring tourist visa. I considered the second option to go to New Zealand if I did not get the student visa in one week. Fortunately, I got a student visa before deciding to go to New Zealand, so I got to stay in Perth for six months. I told my Japanese classmate who is 18 years old about this. He explained to me that he got a student visa one day after applying for it. I guess that the Australian government wondered for what purpose a man who was 50s Japanese came to Australia. Anyway, I am glad to get to prove that the 50s can get a student visa.
