部品の一つに不良のある商品をお得意さんにお送りしてしまったときに、その方が厳重に注意しなければ、ということで会社に出向いてこられたことがあった。
しかし、実際に会社へ来てみると、社員の人びとが一心に仕事に打ち込んでいる姿を見て、憤慨もせず、かえって信用を深めて帰られた、という話を聞いた。
このことから私は、誠実かつ熱心に日々の仕事に力強く取り組むということが、いかに大きな力を持っているかということを、つくづく感じさせられた。
そういう態度というものは、見る人の心に何物かを与えるばかりでなく、仕事そのものの成果をより高める原動力にもなると思うのである。

There was a time when we sent a customer a product with a defective part, and the customer came to the company to give us a strict warning.
However, when he actually came to the company, he saw the employees devoting themselves wholeheartedly to their work and was not upset, but instead left with a greater trust in the company.
This made me realize how powerful it is to be sincere and enthusiastic in one's daily work.
I believe that such an attitude not only gives something to the viewer's heart, but also becomes a driving force to enhance the results of the work itself.
