The first GTB meeting, the Preparatory Meeting, was held!

On Tuesday, August 3, 2021, the first preparatory meeting of the Greater Tokyo Biocommunity (GTB) was held. In addition to the participating organizations such as local governments, academia, and industry support organizations, observers from related ministries and agencies participated in the meeting.

Of the 140 participants, most were able to attend online, but those who were able took all possible measures to prevent infection and gathered at the real venue, Gakushi Kaikan.

The participants were introduced to the overall picture of the Bioeconomy Strategy and activities in collaboration with GTB, and had a free discussion on what to expect from GTB in the future.

The first meeting (general meeting) is scheduled to be held in October.
