Edible Garden Diary - Harvest

Harvest this morning. It may not be even 1% self-sufficient, but it is a little add-on to our dining table. Fermented soy beans (called natto) with shiso leaves, miso soup with Malabar spinach, salad with wasabi greens and cherry tomatoes and baked eggplant….

Harvest

For the past five years, during summer,  . I have found that shishito peppers or manganji peppers, bitter gourd and cherry tomatoes have significantly curbed my food costs.  I hope I am able to harvest bitter gourds a lot because apparently Manganji peppers are not doing well this year…..
この5年間は、夏の間、私は、ししとう、又は、万願寺とうがらし、ゴーヤ、プチトマトが、私の庭の主力で食卓に役立ってくれていましたが。今年はゴーヤが頼りです。万願寺唐辛子はほぼほぼだめそうなので。
