関西電力高浜原子力発電所４号機が自動停止：2023年1月30日（月）

子会社の関西電力送配電のシステムを使って新電力の顧客情報を不正閲覧するなど法令軽視の空気が蔓延する関西電力の原子力発電所が自動停止した。福井県高浜町にある関西電力高浜原子力発電所４号機の自動停止のことである。現在，原因を調査しているという。この原子炉は1985年に運転開始し，出力87万キロワット，加圧水型原子炉である。2022年11月に再稼働し，12月から営業運転に入っていた。

　高浜原子力発電所といえば，関西電力の役員ら20人が福井県高浜町元助役から合計で約3億2000万円の金品を受け取っていたことが明るみに出て社会問題になった大事件がある。結局，この件も曖昧にされたままになっているとの印象を拭えないが，不都合な真実を隠蔽する体質から脱皮できなければ（透明性を確保する組織を構築できないのであれば），先行きの見通しが心配である。一企業の組織の問題にとどまらず，国民の安全安心が脅かされており，政府は危機感を持って対応していただきたい。

Kansai Electric Power's Takahama Nuclear Power Plant Unit 4 Automatically Shuts Down：January 30th(Monday)

Kansai Electric Power's nuclear power plant, where the atmosphere of disregarding laws and regulations, such as illegally viewing new power customer information using Kansai Electric Power Transmission and Distribution's system, has spread, automatically shut down. This is in regards to Unit 4 of the Kansai Electric Power's Takahama Nuclear Power Plant located in Takahama-cho, Fukui Prefecture. The cause is currently under investigation. This reactor started operating in 1985, has an output of 870,000 kilowatts, and is a pressurized water reactor. It was restarted in November 2022 and had been in commercial operation since December.

Speaking of the Takahama Nuclear Power Plant, there was a major incident that became a social issue, where 20 Kansai Electric Power executives received a total of about 320 million yen in cash and gifts from a former vice mayor of Takahama-cho, Fukui Prefecture. Ultimately, the impression remains that this matter has also been left ambiguous, and if they cannot break free from the culture of concealing inconvenient truths (if they cannot establish an organization that ensures transparency), there is concern about the future prospects. Not limited to just an organizational issue of a company, the safety and security of the people is being threatened, and the government is being urged to respond with a sense of crisis.
