プレスリリースを原語で読んでみた。直近のスポーツ大会が全て成功裏に終えられたことを根拠に開催へと進めていくそうやね。

既に開催まで後63日。8年の頑張りを無駄にするのもあまり良くないだろうとは思う。ただ、日本のネット上の論調はオリンピック非開催方向へと大きく方向付けられているかと思う。ネットはネットである。けれど、配信方面とはいえ、恐らくかなり難しい舵取りが求められる段階に入ったと言えそう。

大会ではアスリートやスタッフに優先的にワクチンを接種することが提案されているらしい。日本の人より先に何故？との意見もありそうであるが、オリンピックと日本人とは特段にワクチンの順番を議論できる程の権限の結びつきはなく、「オリンピック参加者は日本とは独立に」が互いの立場上妥当な取り決めでありそうと考える。
オリンピック委員会は、非政府組織で、非営利組織で、市民団体でもない、国際組織である。スポーツを通してより良い世界を目指す人たちにより構成される。オリンピック参加者と日本人との間で、双方にコロナの感染を持ち込ませないよう慎重に隔てて開催しつつ、無事に開催して、最後まで終わらせることまでが、日本のオリンピック主催国として名乗りを上げた国としての最後のけじめと言えるだろう。降って来た禍いにより僕らは悪くないのに責務が生じたと僕らは思うかもしれない。

禍いはじっと待って過ごせばいずれ止み、再び世界と手を取り合える機会がすぐに来るかもしれない。いつか近い未来にくる、再生の時に、わだかまりの影を落とすのは、もしかしたら日本に良くない影響を及ぼすのかもしれない。

The article draws on the remarks of Belgian triathletes and emphasizes that athletes are also looking forward to the festival.  The organizers on the Japanese side took great care of the details and were restricted but not dissatisfied. He thinks it shows what other sports can do under the right protocol.  

Minister Seiko Hashimoto also says that we must do our best to succeed, and in the current situation, those who can commit to the tournament will do their best to make it as safe as possible.

I think it's the best story to go (already in my opinion mode).  
It is already 63 days until the event.  I don't think it's good to waste eight years of hard work.  However, I think that the tone of Japan's online tone is largely directed toward the non-Olympic Games.
