Hello! It is Nao from Equal APU!

It’s getting hotter so fast these days. Although the time when I had to wear a coat outside seems like yesterday.

Now, let’s pick up from where we left off and look back on project B. 

This time, I would love to share about Project 3 in which I had a chance to participate.

In Project 3, we organized two pieces of works 

namely: an art exhibition and a goods selling project. Let’s go through them in order.

Firstly, the art exhibition was started with the aim to “ Present the works on the theme of Gender Equality to understand & spread the knowledge of: ‘How gender discrimination is perceived in our society’ by [Visualizing] people’s voices and thoughts about gender.” The event successfully gathered a total of 13 works from APU students.

This event was divided into 2 parts: A direct-participatory art exhibition and an online appreciation event. The first one was held in the cafeteria from November 30th to December 2nd. We asked participants to make works on the spot and set up a voting booth. We then voted for the works from December 2nd to 23rd and invited our special guest Ms. Izuru Aminaka to a viewing party on zoom on December 16th. We are grateful to be interviewed about the exhibition by NHK after that.

Next is the goods selling project. The first purpose of this is to raise awareness of “ = ”. And the second purpose is to donate to feminists and gender equality organizations.

こんにちは！EqualAPUのなおです！

最近はだんだんと暑くなってきましたね。昨日までコート着ていたのに、、という気持ちです。

さて、前回に引き続きプロジェクトBの振り返りをしていきます。今回は私が参加していたプロジェクト3についてお話ししていこうと思います。

プロジェクト3では、アート展とグッズ販売の２つの企画を行いました。

順番に見ていきましょう。

まず、アート展は、「ジェンダー平等をテーマにした作品を通して、ジェンダーに対する人々の声や思いを”可視化”することにより、社会の中で性差別がどのように人々に捉えられているのかを理解すること・広めること」を目的としました。今回はAPU生から合計13点の作品が集まりました。

このイベントは、参加型アート展とオンライン鑑賞会の２つに分かれていました。11/30～12／2にカフェテリアで参加型アート展を開催しました。そこでは参加者にその場で作品を作ってもらい、投票ブースを設けました。12/2～23で作品の投票を行い、12/16にはゲスト網中いづるさんを招いてzoomでの観賞会を行いました。そしてこの展示会の様子をNHKの方に取材していただきました。

続いてグッズ販売です。この企画の目的は、「第一に「＝」の認知度を上げること。第二に、得た収益をフェミニストやジェンダー平等に関する団体に寄付すること」でした。
