紫華鬘

紫華鬘 （ムラサキケマン）


ケシ科、キケマン属、ムラサキケマン種


日本の固有種のケマンソウであり、外来種の
ものより生息域は狭いもの。


その名にある華鬘（ケマン）とは仏具の事で
花の形が似ているからとこの名がついた。


この独特な形状の花だが、斜めに傾斜してる
距（キョ）と呼ばれる先端部に蜜が蓄えられて
おり、それを求めて小型のハチが潜り込むと
ハチの体の重みにより花弁が下がると同時に
雄蕊と雌蕊がハチの体に触れる仕組みとなり
この花を周回する事により受精されるもの。


可愛い外観とは異なり、この植物も有毒植物
なので取り扱いには注意が必要となる。

Murasakikeman is a native species of Keman grass in Japan, with a narrower habitat range than invasive species.


The "keman" in its name refers to Buddhist utensils because the flower's shape resembles them.


Despite its unique flower shape, the tip called "kyo" holds nectar, attracting small bees. When they enter, their weight causes the petals to drop, allowing the stamens and pistils to touch the bee's body, facilitating pollination.


Despite its cute appearance, this plant is also toxic, requiring careful handling.
