悪口（わるぐち）、口が悪い（くちがわるい）

“悪口” means pointing out and criticizing their faults and shortcomings.

人の悪口を言うのはやめなさい。
ひとのわるぐちをいうのはやめなさい。
Stop talking badly about others.

彼はいつも他人の悪口を言っている。
かれはいつもたにんのわるぐちをいっている。
He is always speaking ill of others.

“口が悪い” refers to making sharp-tongued remarks or speaking rudely.

彼女は口は悪いが根はいい人だ。
かのじょはくちはわるいがねはいいひとだ。
She has a sharp tongue, but she is a good person at heart.
彼の上司は口が悪いので、部下から嫌われている。
かれのじょうしはくちがわるいので、ぶかからきらわれている。
His boss is disliked by subordinates because of his sharp tongue.
