収める、納める、治める、修める（おさめる）

"収める" means to acquire, to put away, or to put something into something.

今日の試合は危ない場面もあったが、なんとか勝利を収めた。
きょうのしあいはあぶないばめんもあったが、なんとかしょうりをおさめた。
Even though there were some risky moments in today's game, we somehow managed to secure a victory.

決定的瞬間をカメラに収めることができた。

"納める" means to hand over money or items that should be given, or to bring something to a conclusion.

今月末までに来期分の学費を納めなければなりません。
こんげつまつまでにらいきぶんのがくひをおさめなければなりません。
I have to pay the tuition for the next term by the end of this month.

この選手は来年から大リーグに行くので、日本では今日の試合が見納めです。
このせんしゅはらいねんからだいりーぐにいくので、にほんではきょうのしあいがみおさめです。

"治める" means to bring into an orderly state or to govern.

彼らは協議によって争いを治めた。
かれらはきょうぎによってあらそいをおさめた。

かつてにほんにはひみこというじょうほうがおさめたくにがあったといわれている。

"修める" means to learn and acquire knowledge or arts.

彼は大学で優秀な成績を修めました。
かれはだいがくでゆうしゅうなせいせきをおさめました。
He achieved excellent grades at university.

彼女はアメリカの大学で心理学の博士号を修め、その分野の専門家になった。
かのじょはあめりかのだいがくでしんりがくのはかせごうをおさめ、そのぶんやのせんもんかになった。
She obtained her Doctorate in Psychology at an American university and became an expert in the field.
