When a friend let you down

   Looking back at various relationships between my friends, they haven’t let me down without a doubt. Of course, we had quarrels at some point, but I have never felt slighted or betrayed by my precious friends. The thing is I am the one who let some of my friends down. 

   Come to think about it, I have probably disappointed some of my best friends. This comes from the major discrepancy between the 1st impression that they have of me and the true personality that I have.
   
To those who meet me for the 1st time, I look easygoing, generous, and merciful. They often describe me as a person who forgives them whatever they do. That’s for sure some of my traits, but just some of them.
   
   I am rather a meticulous, well-organized, and goal-oriented guy. I always go at my own pace regardless of what others might think. I don’t give a shit about it. 

   This might bring a huge gap between some of them and myself. There was a time one of my best friends at that time asked me to come to his house and stay up all night. Sometimes I joined the party, but as time went by, I wanted to cherish my own time. As I began to keep him at arm’s length, he was becoming even needy and desperate to seek my attention.

   Since then, I have blocked him on social media to avoid his texts and phone calls. I’m sorry for him about what I did to him. And oh, I have similar memories to this. I’m that kind of guy sadly.
