１、江戸時代、所沢に織物市場ができました。
The textile market appeared in Tokorozawa in the Edo period.

２、所沢や周辺地域で織られた織物は「所沢絣／所沢飛白（ところざわかすり）」と呼ばれました。
The fabric made in Tokorozawa and surrounding areas was called "Tokorozawa Kasuri ".

３、所沢の山口地域では盛んに織物生産が行われました。
The textile industry had grown in Yamaguchi area of Tokorozawa.

４、ところが昭和時代の初め、山口地域に貯水池が建設されることになり、多くの機屋がf移転・廃業しました。
However, at the beginning of the Showa period, many weaving workmen had to move or retire because a water reservoir was constructed in Yamaguchi area.

５、昭和時代になると、洋服の普及や金融恐慌の影響もあり、徐々に生産は終わりを迎えます。
In the Showa period, the production of textile gradually decreased because of the popularity of Western style clothing and financial crisis.
