Issue: RME Babyface Pro FS Not Being Recognized

割引あり

After trying various methods, I managed to get it recognized, despite the reasons not appearing in my searches.

I had done thorough research before making this expensive purchase, and I believed I had mentally prepared for it.

Despite hearing that the Babyface could be challenging for beginners and producing sound might be difficult, I underestimated the situation, thinking that with my thorough preparation, everything would be fine.

Now, onto the setup!

I went through all the checks, including drivers, firmware updates, PC modes, and making sure USB connections were secure. However, it's not being recognized at all. Well, not that it's not recognized. It is recognized, and both Fireface USB Setting and TotalMix FX are up and running (※ They won't launch unless the Babyface is connected).

Symptoms:

I've tried numerous times to perform "Option" -> "Reset Mix" and "Total Reset," but it didn't work. I've also attempted adjustments like setting "Assign" to "PH3/4" in "Main Output." However, the crucial RME Babyface Pro device isn't appearing at all in the Windows system settings for sound output!

Desperate Searches:

In the era where Google is considered a virtual teacher capable of solving anything, I tirelessly scoured various websites, articles, and videos. Despite trying a range of solutions, none of them seemed to work at all.

Trying on Another PC:

Initially, I attempted the setup on my main desktop Windows PC, but it didn't work as expected. So, I tried it on a Windows laptop, encountering the same issue. I even tested it on a MacBook Pro, but it also didn't go smoothly. At this point, I began to suspect if it might be a case of initial defects.
