イギリスのロイヤル・メール、10%賃上げで合意。

ヨーロッパ経済ニュースEUROPE NNAは2023年04月25日に、イギリスの郵便大手ロイヤル・メール(Royal Mail)は2023年04月21日に、賃金の10%引き上げと500ポンドの一時金支給で労働組合と合意したと報告した。

イギリスのインフレ率に見合った給与やその他の雇用条件を承認し、今後数週間のうちに投票にかける予定としている。

今回の合意内容は、2025年04月まで強制解雇を行わないこと、2024年03月から郵便配達の開始時刻が繰り下げられること、日曜日の定期勤務は新規従業員にのみ追加されることなども含む。

ロイヤル・メールとCWU(Communications Workers Union/通信労働組合)の双方は、この合意は納得できる内容だと評価している。

ロイヤル・メールの11万人超の組合員は、昨年8月から12月にかけて全国でストライキを実施。経営側が人員削減を警告したことから、話し合いが長期化していた。結果として、合計18日間のストが行われ、£2億ポンド以上の損害が出た。
