【孔雀明王】

孔雀明王、マハーマユーリーは、明王の中で唯一菩薩顔を持つ。孔雀は毒蛇を喰らうことから、明王は、人間の三毒(貪瞋痴)を浄化するという。

Kujaku-myouou, or Mahamayuri, is the only myouou who has a bodhisattova face among fury face myouou’s. Since peacocks eat venoms, the Myouou is said to cleanse human’s three vices (i.e., greed, anger, ignorance).
