親愛なる息子へ

気づけば、あっという間に日記が100号を超えていたよ。最初は君が生まれて入院している間に日記を続けようと思っていたけれど、ここまで来たら君が1歳になるまで続けようと思うよ。（その後は未定だけどね）

今日はね、Mamaが朝に教会に行く予定だったので、夜中からお昼までPapaが君のケア係だったんだ。（でも、Mamaの予定がキャンセルになったよ）毎日、Mamaと協力しながら、役割を交代して君をサポートしているよ。

そうそう、今日はPapaの親友のOくんが昼食に来たよ。Oくんとは小学1年生からの友人で、彼の家はPapaたちの家の近くだから、時々遊びに来て君と楽しい時間を過ごしているんだ。

PapaもMamaも友人と楽しい時間を過ごすのが大好きだから、君の成長を彼らに見てもらえたら嬉しいなと思っているよ。

Dear Son

Time has flown by, and before Papa knew it, this diary has already exceeded 100 entries. At first, Papa intended to keep this diary just while you were born and in the hospital, but now Papa plans to continue it until you turn one year old. (What happens after that is still undecided.)

Today, Mama had planned to go to church in the morning, so Papa was in charge of taking care of you from late at night until noon. (But Mama's plans were canceled.) Every day, Papa and Mama work together, taking turns when necessary, to support you.

Oh, by the way, Papa's best friend O-kun came over for lunch today. Papa has known him since first grade, and since he lives near Papa’s house, he sometimes comes over to spend fun time with you.

Both Papa and Mama love to invite friends over and enjoy fun times together, so Papa hopes that they will get to watch you grow up as well.
