③Unification of the Time Usage Intervals
The unit of time will be standardized to intervals of 1 hour.

School Valentines

When February rolls around, I, as many others do, think about Valentine's Day. In elementary school we enjoyed a Valentine’s Day event in class. We were told to bring in valentines to pass out to each student in the class. The valentines we give to each other are small cards that have a positive message written on them and are also attached to candy. The valentines are often themed after popular children's movies or games, and can be bought at most grocery stores.

We also need something to put the valentines in, and that is the most fun part. Children use a shoebox as their box to receive valentines in. Children decorate the box based on whatever theme they want, whether it be something that matches their valentines they will give out, or more standard Valentine’s Day themes and colors. Once the box is wrapped with paper and other decorations, children cut a rectangular hole on the top of the box. Children can then bring it to school and set it on their desk while they walk around and put a valentine in each classmate's box.

I always enjoyed seeing the creative designs of my classmates' boxes and the different valentines that everyone brought in with them. I hope that this event is still being done at my school and am sure students here in Japan would enjoy it as well.
