Our Values to be followed throughout the project

①We are not the “media”

This project doesn’t aim to evaluate or criticize the current situations and Japanese government’s measures surrounding COVID-19. Our role is to accurately translate and convey essential information for foreigners to live their lives in Japan; our articles are based on information released by Japanese government, municipalities and news media.

②Factfulness is our No.1 priority

Factfulness is the top priority, while we are to convey essential information as fast as we can. We always keep in mind that those who receive inaccurate information may behave incorrectly and, as a result, such information can risk someone’s life.

When producing articles, members of the project should refer to primary sources released by the government and administrative agencies; management team double-checks the articles’ content. This project is politically neutral and avoids handling scientifically or politically controversial issues.

Additionally, before publication, translated articles go through correction for grammar, vocabulary as well as meanings and nuances conveyed, by native speakers or those who have language ability equivalent to native speakers participating as volunteer staffs.

③Be modest and open to the public

Management team of this project consists of students at TUFS and those who have just graduated from TUFS. Our vision and the project’s activities are actively shared, and we constantly improving this project through sincerely listening to reviews on it.
