Day 2 Ulysses

Tuesday is for Literature. "A look at great writers and a synopsis of their most important works - poems and novels that continue to inspire readers today."

Ulysses is a novel written by James Joyce in 1922. It is widely regarded as the greatest novel written in English in the twenty century. It retells Homer's Odyssey in the context of a single day in Dublin, Ireland. The main character, "Bloom" is totally different from the original hello, Odysseus. He is an aging, cuckolded salesman but emerges as a heroic figure.
Ulysses is celebrated for its incredibly rich portraits of characters and its many innovations of languages. It is most famous for its extensive use of stream-of-unconsiousness narrative, Joyce's attempt to render the inner thoughts of his characters exactly as they occur, with no effort to impose order or the organization.

and then he asked me would I yes to say test my mountain flower and I put my arms around him yes and drew him down to me so he could feel my breasts ass perfume yes and his heart was going like mad and yes I said yes I will Yes.

Maybe you were not able to "read" the sentence above because of the grammatical errors, neither did I and I believe no one was. But still, you could get the sentence, I guess. Beautiful writings, novels, essays, or papers whatever they are, are really fascinating. You are tempted to "taste" it from time to time, read it just because you want to read it.
I have bought one book for myself twice. I cannot recall the title of the book now but it is an essay in which you can find beautiful sentences from different types of writings. The author put some comments on it and they were in perfect harmony. I bought it when I was a student and lost it. A few years later, I just recalled the book - I didn't know why - and tried to find them. (It was a series of books) I am not a writer and it is not my field but I wonder if I can create something beautiful like that.
Maybe, someday.

Well, I guess I need to check the cardboards in which I put the book when I moved to the current house. There are a few things that are genuine.

Words and expressions new to me
errand
: a short journey undertaken in order to deliver or collect something, especially on someone else's behalf.
narrative: a spoken or written account of connected events; a story.
cuckold: a man whose wife is sexually unfaithful, often regarded as an object of derision.
