September 14, 2022: Weekly Sanma & Matsuko, V-Cinema, Lesson to Learn （週刊さんまとマツコ、Vシネマ、学ぶべき教訓）
I have always recorded and watched the TV program ‘Weekly Sanma and Matsuko’ aired by TBS. At first, it was on air early Sunday evening but failed to attract viewers. It is now on air on Sunday afternoon. I always enjoy it very much. It has dealt with unique topics which others would not cover. Above all, it heats up when Akira Kawashima serves as a host.
One of the previous episodes featured V-Cinema with Yasukaze Motomiya, a V-Cinema actor, as a guest. V-Cinema is a series of films produced by Toei only for sale or rent. Most of them are about the story of Japanese gangsters and have been supported by middle-aged fans. But it is now attracting young women. A female interviewee said that Taisesei Mtomiya made her love the Cinema. He shows two faces in the films. He is sometimes a hard-boiled Japanese gangster but sometimes shows his funny side. He is one of the key players who has revived the Cinema.
He also said that he and his staff followed and would follow strict rules when shooting them. One of them is the background check of the entire cast, including the extras. They have to do it thoroughly to prevent them from getting in trouble. It gives a lesson to those who have now caused a stir.
日曜日のお昼にTBSで放映される「週刊さんまとマツコ」をビデオ録画していつも見ています。この番組は、当初、日曜日の夕方にやっていたのですが、視聴率が低かったため、日曜日の午後に移動しました。ボクは、他の番組では扱わないような企画が多く、いつも楽しみにしています。特に、川島明さんが司会する時は、番組がより盛り上がります。
先日の番組では、Vシネマが特集され、Vシネマの有名俳優の一人である本宮泰風がゲストで出演されました。Vシネマは、ビデオの販売またはレンタルを主として東映が制作する映画作品です。スタートして30年になるそうです。作品の内容は、任侠モノが中心でで、中高年のファンに支えられてきました。ところが、最近は若い女性にも人気のようです。
番組でインタビューを受けた女性によると、本宮さんがきっっけで、Vシネマが好きになったそうです。彼は作品の中で、二つの顔をみせます。ハードボイルドなギャングの一面を見せる時もあれば、コミカルな面をみせる時もあります。本宮さんは、Vシネマ復活に一役買っています。
本宮さんによると、作品の撮影は厳格なルールの下で行っているそうです。その一つが、エキストラを含む出演者全員の身辺調査です。やっかいなことに巻き込まれないための対策だそうです。いま、世間を騒がせている人への教訓になりそうです。
