The time interval between these two images,
is 17/30ths of a second, i.e. 0.567 seconds.

As soon as the formation is released, in unison, they all run around for each next position shrieking a cheer of happiness― in the beginning scene of the coda of "Sing, Sing Sing!".
（フォーメーションが解除されるやいなや、彼らは一斉に歓喜の声を上げながら、各々の次のポジションへ向かって走り回ります――「シング、シング、シング！」のコーダ＝終結部 の冒頭シーンです。）
Then, after quickly converging into a square formation, they spring up lightly on tiptoe in unison, and the next moment unfold this cross-step.
（そして、四角形の隊形へと素早く収束した後、一斉に爪先で軽く跳ね上がり、次の瞬間、この交差ステップを繰り出すのです。）
Which is a very striking moment. Because, the previously continuous two-dimensional movement on the xy-plane is suddenly added a three-dimensional vertical movement (z). To the audience, the entire formation suddenly appears to sink down as much as 1 foot.
（それは、非常に印象的な瞬間です。 なぜなら、それまで続いていたｘｙ平面上の 2 次元の動きに、突然、3 次元の垂直方向の動き(ｚ)が付加されるからです。観客には、フォーメーション全体が急に 1 フィートも沈み込むように見えます。）
And the next moment when your attention is drawn to it, they resurface immediately and rush into that famous line-dance-like dance, while playing the lilting music.
（そして、人々の注意が引き付けられた次の瞬間、彼らはすぐに再浮上し、軽快な音楽を演奏しながら、あの有名な、ライン ダンスのようなダンスに突入してゆきます。）
Since it is seen only twice in one performance, and since it is an momentary act, you will probably have a stronger impression of the dance that follow this one. However, this is a very beautiful and sophisticated movement, and the more you think about it, the more you will realize that it is an advanced feat.
（１回の公演で２回しか見られず、しかも一瞬の技なので、この後に続くダンスの方が人々の印象には強く残ることでしょう。しかし、これは非常に美しくそして洗練された動きであり、考察すればするほど、高度な技術であることに気づかされることでしょう。）
