Morocco 3: Life of the Bembel people

After enjoying the desert sunrise, we headed back the way we came.
I walked home.
Originally, the system was for each person to ride a camel back and forth.
However, I got some advice from a friend who had been there, and I decided to do it after discussing it with my brother and sister, who wanted to enjoy both.
When I consulted with the tour conductor, he instructed me to pay a separate tip to the camel driver when transferring back.
My brother-in-law was supposed to ride my camel.
When I handed over the money, a bembel man who was not a camel driver came from next door and said, ``Change, change,'' and took the money.
The camel drivers also worked in a group and he was in the same group.
I didn't mind distributing it to my friends later.

I joined the group heading home and started walking.
The person who received the money earlier was a walking group guide.
As expected, it was good.
He was very kind and was quick to hold my hand when we were walking in difficult places or on hills.
There were many kinds of creatures in the desert.
He showed me the evidence and explained it to me.
There was a continuous thin line like the dotted line of "fan roll".
The small footprints of the ``fennec fox'' were growing.
There was also "rat" droppings.

I looked to my left and saw a long line of camels.
Walking through the desert in the morning sun was amazing, just like a caravan on the Silk Road.

I even had the illusion that Lawrence of Arabia had appeared on the mountain behind me.
The earth was the color of sand, the sky was blue, and the sun was shining brightly.

There was a well on the way.
It was a simple well made of stone.
Even in a desert like this, there seems to be water veins underground.

I couldn't help but scream out loud to the bottom of the well.
My voice echoed, and the sound seemed to go back to the beginning of time.
When we arrived near the meeting point, our guide sat us down on the sand.
And they unpacked the package in front of us.
They lined up souvenirs and began persistently selling them, saying, ``Part-time job, part-time job.''
A business began in the middle of this vast desert.
All of the products were ones I had seen during this tour.
No one was buying it.
However, tipping was strictly requested.
I realized that it was because he was being overly kind to me on the way home.
And he received the tip I paid to the camel driver at his transfer.
The handsome man's face looked dark.

We split into cars again and drove down the road.
When we arrived, it was pitch black and we could see nothing but the road and car tracks in the gray world.
Even when I looked around 360 degrees, all I could see was sand, stones, and rubble.
Meanwhile, there was a house.
It was the homeland of the local Berber people.
The Berber people are an ethnic group whose mother tongue is Berber, a member of the Afro-Asiatic language family, who have lived in a wide area of North Africa (Maghreb) since ancient times. Despite the Arab majority, the population of North African countries remains constant. They are indigenous peoples who maintain their cultural identity.
The ancestors of the Berber people are said to be the people who created the stone tool culture.
Her face was fearless and deeply carved, and from the Japanese perspective, she looked neat and beautiful.

We toured the house and had tea here.
It looked like a primitive dwelling, like a simple house or a large tent.
The main house was about 20 tatami mats in size, with no partitions, just a carpet on the ground.
His wife, his daughter-in-law and baby were there.
A girl around eight years old was leaning against the shadow of a house.
She looked down to avoid everyone's gaze.
No one would be happy if a bunch of strangers came to their house and looked at them curiously.

Another area had a cooking hut.
Inside were several earthen ovens and pots.
There was also a small toilet hut further away.

Life in this empty desert with limited supplies was unimaginable.
Nature is wonderfully beautiful, but it is also difficult to live in.

The girl's feelings were chasing me inside.
