1.The trigger: To the next stage of life

Ms. Y first came across Blue Studio when her sister invited her to visit a showroom. With the aim of living a positive life surrounded by things she loves, she chose to move to Tsujido, a charming suburb area with all the necessary facilities, spacious sky, and refreshing breeze while having easy access to Tokyo. She decided to make this place the setting for her post-early retirement life, where she can enjoy a rich and fun lifestyle.

2. The plan: TOKYO*STANDARD

"TOKYO*STANDARD" a select-order renovation service designed by Blue Studio was being utilized. With a fixed-rate plan, there is no uncertainty about waiting for an unknown construction cost. Things that could be done are decided within the determined budget. Also, things could be customized by simply adding additional cost. Ms. Y found the quality and flexibility of "TOKYO*STANDARD" to be very attractive.

3.Renovation: Personal museum

Ms. Y's desire was to have the things she loves always in view. Drawing inspiration from interior photos and magazines from abroad, we designed a space that beautifully showcased each item she had collected over the years, including posters, books, photographs, vintage items, and more. Together we managed to express her personal history beautifully by arranging the items in a way that resembled a fractal pattern of the shelves. With the intention of making this place her final residence, the renovation focused on creating a barrier-free and spacious home.

4.Completion: Seeking of aesthetic

The bedroom shelves were designed with glass blocks in the back panel to allow light to pass through. A special ambient was created with the display of glass art pieces that refract the light beautifully. It also serves the purpose of a partition between the entrance and the bedroom. Glass blocks on the upper part provide a sense of openness, while the lower part is designed to be concealed, striking a balance to ensure it doesn't feel overly open.

5.New life: Romanesco

Creating a lifestyle through renovation is crucial in the era of a 100-year life expectancy where life after retirement is surprisingly long. As we spend more time at home, it becomes increasingly important to make our living spaces delightful and comfortable. Decorating our home with items we love, just like Ms. Y did, and taking pleasure in admiring them is indeed one enjoyable way to enhance your living experience.
