【Inside beBit】Consulting Sales - Hashimoto-san
Inside beBit - A project in which we ask 10 questions about a beBit member's work and personal life. We hope that “Inside beBit” will provide an opportunity to get to know more about the individuals you work with.
In this issue, we had Hashimoto-san from the Consulting Sales team answer our questions!

1. Why did you join beBit?
My reason for joining beBit is rather unique, I think haha.
I was set to continue on to graduate school for science and engineering, but I decided to withdraw after the professor and a senior PhD student took credit as first author for the research I did in my fourth year. This made me realize the importance of intellectual property, so I dedicated myself to studying for the bar exam. However, I came to learn that even in the legal field, no matter how hard you work “for someone else,” it’s not often met with gratitude. I came across beBit when I started to get unmotivated.
I met with beBit’s CEO, Endo-san who explained to me that the company embodies the concept of “sanpou yoshi” (good for all three sides). He told me that by putting in my best effort, I could make everyone happy. That truly resonated with me and made me feel like I had been saved. That’s what ultimately led me to join the company.
2. Tell us about your background
I’ve already shared a bit about my background before joining the company. After joining, I spent five years as a consultant delivering projects. .As I advanced to a leadership role, I transitioned into sales (at the time, we only offered consulting). I used to associate sales with pushing products or cold calling, and I thought if I was ever to do sales, I would quit. But since beBit provides services based on “sanpou yoshi” and we received inbound inquiries, I didn’t mind staying haha.
Since then, I have gone through various roles from consulting sales to WebAntenna sales, USERGRAM sales, hybrid sales (selling all services), and back to consulting sales. I’ve sold every single service that beBit provides, besides our newest software service OmniSegment.
3. Please tell us about the work you do at beBit
Currently, as a Senior Sales Manager in Consulting Sales, I manage and develop my team while supporting them to improve the likelihood of closing deals. I collaborate with team members to prepare before client meetings, attend the meetings to provide follow-up, and review proposals to ensure they are strong.
When new members join the team, I prepare materials to help them transition smoothly into sales. Additionally, since high-quality delivery is the best form of marketing, I often act as a pseudo-client for projects to help improve the quality of our deliverables.
4. Tell us one thing you like about beBit
As I mentioned earlier, I really appreciate how beBIt, as Endo-san says, embodies “sanpou yoshi.” We provide services that make both our clients and end users happy (UX-focused client support), and that, in turn, brings happiness to us. In the world, there are some products or services that are offered with reservations, thinking, “This part isn’t quite right…” but at beBit, I love that I can wholeheartedly sell and deliver our services without those concerns.
5. Tell us what you value most when working
I keep talking about “sanpou yoshi,” but on a personal level, I now value the “gohou yoshi” Coordinator theory. It’s an extension of “sanpou yoshi,” where the aim is to make the client, beBit’s management, the delivery team, society, and myself and my family all happy. I see myself at the center of these five aspects, coordinating to find the best solution for all.
While I technically belong to beBit’s sales department, my mindset is that I’m not confined to the company. I strive to generate the best possible solution for all stakeholders, including beBit.
6. What do you find rewarding about your job?
As I aim to embody “gohou yoshi,” the most rewarding moments come when I’m involved in a sales process that genuinely helps the client and users (society) in a meaningful way. When the client understands and is satisfied with our proposals and commissions us, beBit’s delivery team can produce great work without excessive strain, and the client is happy, I find it very fulfilling.
7. Who is your role model?
Honestly, I don’t have a role model. Even as a child, I never had a person I aspired to be like. After joining beBit, I looked for one. While I admire Endo-san, or CEO, for being a great person, I don’t possess his level of charisma. I also admire our Executive Vice President, Nakajima-san, but I can’t reach his extreme of “not feeling alive unless he’s enduring the hardship of creating value” haha. Even after reading various books, I couldn’t find a fitting role model. However, I realized I needed a “core” value within myself, so I crafted my own role model in the form of the “coordinator” of “gohou yoshi.”
8. Which of the 16Personalities are you?
It felt a bit strange to write “this is the kind of person I am” myself, so I took the personality test. It turns out I’m the “Architect.” Apparently it means I’m a complex person haha, but please don’t hesitate to talk to me!
Architects are independent, strategic thinkers with a plan for everything.
9. What do you do during your free time?
Since starting remote work, I mostly spend my free time with my child, who is now in the first grade of elementary school. They come to me often, asking me to play with them. It’s probably just a phase haha. Recently, my child has been playing the game “SD Gundam Battle Alliance” and couldn’t clear the “EX Level.” So, I ended up buying another Nintendo Switch and game to strengthen myself and fight alongside them. I may be spoiling them haha.
10. Tell us about any challenges you would like to attempt
I’m turning 50 this year (hard to believe I’ve lived half a century), so I think my opportunities are becoming more limited, both physically and in terms of time. Since joining beBit, I’ve lived quite intensively both in my professional and personal life. Moving forward, I want to focus on spreading UX-centered services and ideas that benefit everyone to a broader audience, and to pass on the right way to approach sales (Coordinator theory) and its applications to future generations, including those outside the sales team.
